This place is a gem nestled in the hills with the stunning view from the farm dam. Sunsets is amazing here and it is a very quiet place. Red Earth is an old farmhouse with all the basic necessities. The fireplace gives a very nice atmosphere at night. Our host Alan was very friendly, and we greeted with a warm welcome. There is a couple of short hiking trails which could be done leisurely one at a time, or an experienced hiker could do 2 or 3 on a day, depending on what you would like to accomplish. I did the ridge trail which is a short circle route in less than an hour. I started at the dam while my wife was sitting around enjoying the scenery, when I got side tracked and followed a couple of birds to get better photos. Before I knew it I was strolling along the trail. I packed away the camera and picked up the pace, took just under an hour to complete and found my wife still enjoying the view from the swing bench.

On saturday there was a lot of grining for at least 3 hours, after that, the quietness of nature took over and a few minutes later the birds began singing and chirping in the trees around the house. The last stretch of road on the gravel road was way worse than I expected, luckily, we opted to go there in a large 4x4 SUV, so it was not a problem, usually we travel with the fuel saver hatchback, and then I would not have been happy. A good heads up on ground clearance would have been appreciated.
