Kokopelli farm

Peaceful . Quiet. Tranquil. Dam for the dogs to swim in. Small river for wading in as well. Walks quite strenuous, steep hills, loose rocks but very pleasant

Needs decent library. Needs better night lighting indoor (for reading) or must warn you to bring own flash lights

Loved the peace and quiet. Cottages are well spaced to each other and very private so felt like we were the only ones there

Our unit was off the grid and we had overcast weather so the solar system could not supply enough power to keep the lights on.

Pictures are deceiving. Place was Filthy. Promised a refund and Alan did not honour his commitment of refund. Integrity is questionable.

The location was beautiful, the chalet large, well stocked and comfortable. Host was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Great views of the valleys and magaliesburg mountains. Good to now they have a kiosk on site for essentials.

I loved the forest and the stay

The road was terrible

The place is supposed to be powered by solar, but it did not work and the panels had to be charged using a very noisy generator. We had no electricity for most of our stay, which we then cut short. There is only one electrical plug in the kitchen and could only be used to charge phones. We were not aware of this. My partner uses a CPAP machine to sleep. Fortunately we brought a back up battery for that - a very last minute decision and one we were very grateful for. According to the description there was a private pool with a view......it was a farm dam and we had to walk quite a distance to get there. The area around the dam was very uninviting and looked more like a dumping sitw for old furniture, but it was hot and we decided to go for a swim. Jumped in and got out, covered in leeches. According to the gentleman that work at reception(and the only staff member we met), the solar has been giving problems for a long time, and they are aware of the leeches. It's definitely not the romantic weekend that we had planned for our anniversary, and we will definitely not recommend this place to anyone. On the plus side.....we did get a full refund after complaining to management, but our anniversary weekend was ruined We hope that they will fix these issues and nobody has to have a horror weekend like we did.

Great cottage - really private and the staff is very helpful.

Solar power unit was not working properly. However, the owners did what they could by providing lamps etc. The signs on the hiking trails also need to be replaced.

The host was very friendly and helpful, The place was very peaceful and amazing. The scenery was amazing and nature at its best.

lots of dust, the place needs to cleaned more.
