Location - that’s it

Dated. Toilet sink leaked however as floor was rotten, suggests that it has been like this for some time. Only one hand towel provided between four adults. Backrest of chair by table area damaged. Could fall backwards. Fire condemned although still advertised. Raised decking area not swept before our arrival. Double room advertised as with en-suite, however it is a shared shower room. Did contact owner several times, however nothing got resolved during our stay

"Unpleasant stay – dirty and no communication with the host"

1.0

Our experience at this property was deeply disappointing and fell far below any acceptable standard for a paid stay. Upon arrival, the caravan was in an unacceptable condition. A strong, unpleasant smell greeted us, and it was clear that only minimal cleaning had been done. The floor was full of crumbs and hair, the carpet and sofa were visibly dirty, and the bathroom had urine stains and hair. Only one toilet roll was provided for a 4 day stay, and there were no towels, despite the listing showing them. Linens and pillows had hairs on them. The listing itself was misleading. It suggested two double beds, but there was only one, plus two singles. The photos appear to show the same bed from different angles with different linens, giving a false impression. The wifi didn’t work, and the password was only given after we chased it. I messaged the host about the poor condition of the caravan, asking for basic supplies and further cleaning, but received no reply. When we discovered that the shower had no hot water, I messaged again with no response. We were forced to go buy cleaning supplies ourselves because the state of the place was simply unhygienic. When I eventually managed to speak to Sarah on the phone in the evening, she seemed unconcerned. She admitted she had forgotten to update the wifi password and said she will call someone to fix the shower, but no one did. After repeated calls, she finally tried to walk us through boiler settings herself, far too late. The shower continued to fluctuate between freezing and scalding for the rest of the stay. We couldn’t wash our hair, and showers had to be rushed. For guests with children, this would be impossible. We also found visible mould in several areas on curtains, walls, and even a chopping board which is a serious health concern, especially as one of us has asthma. This stay was stressful and disappointing when it should have been relaxing. The property was not ready to host guests, and the service was unacceptable

"R & R downtime May 2025"

7.0

We were 3 adults -family members and 2 small dogs on a last minute weekend escape to Cornwall. We found ourselves here: Gold 10 - is set in the beautiful rural retreat of River Valley Country Park. On our arrival (at dusk) the well kept grassy areas were over running with rabbits and their youngsters. Locating Gold 10 was the first part of our weekend adventure! - It is tucked away, up at the top of the site, with a backdrop of trees and sprinkles of primroses and bluebells in flower. -The accommodation was very clean, it came with fresh white bedding. - The kitchen was very well equipped and well thought through. A must for families on a longer stay. I would describe it as a "very well loved" comfortable and spacious caravan. It is an idyllic dog friendly accommodation, with a safe, secure wooden decking area. It wraps nicely around the front and the side entrance area. The patio table and chairs out on the front deck enabled us to sit and enjoy the early morning coffee in sunshine with birdsong. Nature is literally all around. - It's a great base to explore the area, many beaches reached easily with a car., - Marazion beach is a great place for the dogs in May ... *different rules apply during July & August. - Nearby Hayle, has many beaches to choose from, again just a short drive away. Tip: If you can, pack everything you might need, however, there are plenty of places to shop in Hayle, if you do forget anything. Booked 3 nights, but always planned on leaving later in the day before check out day, due to work commitments and wanting to sightsee more on the way home. A really restful weekend retreat had by all.

For our group... there were 3 capable adults in our group.....not one of us could regulate the shower. Wifi ..not sure it worked, but not an issue for us For owners only - information: Struggled to open your keysafe. it.took two working together- you might want to replace or try some WD40 on it. On coming into the caravan, the panel is very loose - dining seat area. Issue with toilet light not working on arrival - loose connection in light fitting. Tall son in law, wiggled it - worked!

I wanted to bring to your attention a number of issues we faced during our recent stay at the property. Unfortunately, these problems significantly impacted our experience, and I feel it’s important to share this feedback so future guests don’t face the same difficulties. Firstly, there were major issues with the lighting – several lights were not working, making the space quite uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. In addition to this, there was no hot water available, which meant we had to resort to cold baths throughout our stay. This was particularly difficult for us as I have a 5-year-old child who needs a bath twice a day, and even I couldn’t manage to have a proper bath during the entire stay. This situation added a lot of stress and discomfort instead of the relaxing moments we had hoped for when booking this holiday. We also encountered plumbing issues – there was a small leak in the toilet and the flush wasn’t working properly, which made things even more inconvenient. We had booked this holiday with the intention of relaxing and enjoying our time, but sadly, we found ourselves managing problems instead. I truly believe that staying at the property for a day or two would help the management team better understand the guest experience and make necessary improvements. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that steps are taken to ensure a better experience for future guests.
