Ptarmigan

Utterly gorgeous location out in the Cairngorm countryside on the farm. Pods were so much more than I expected and were extremely welcoming and comfortable

The mattress wasn't overly comfortable in our pod

Lovely location. Fantastic walks nearby. Pod was small but comfortable and had everything you needed for a few nights stay

No nothing

Rural location in the Cairngorms with horses and donkeys in the fields adjacent. Helpful host. Larger than average pod meaning it's more comfortable to move around in. Cosy and well equipped.

The photo shown is not up to date as there is now a second pod next to the one shown so it is not as private as anticipated. The springs in the mattress are a bit uncomfortable but host says it will be replaced.

Very quiet and peaceful, superb location. Spotless and comfortable.

Great location in a wonderful area. Very comfortable accommodation on a nice spot. Our host Alistair was the best! His hospitality was heartwarming!

Eggs and bread left for us.

We liked the location and the pod was fine and well equipped for simple cooking. The views across to the church were nice and the pods are orientated to make the most of the sun. There was easy access to the old railway line for simple dog walking. There were a few basic breakfast items for a simple breakfast. We had other breakfast stuff with us, so made eggs rolls for a picnic lunch on our onward journey.

We thought we had booked Ptarmigan but, when we arrived, there was another couple already in there. So we took occupation of Osprey but weren't entirely sure that someone else might turn up! Apparently, Booking.com books out both pods as Ptarmigan, so you could be in either (they are identical). We found the mattress less than comfortable, which was a shame.
