Very very noicy at night. It only quiets down around 1am in the morning. Wifi very slow at night. Will definitely not stay over again

The place had a little bit of water problems upon arrival because the pressure of the water was too low.

Pros I got a water cut during my stay. The lodge assisted speedily with restoring water. They have Jojo tanks. They have good Wi-Fi. E hailing is a challenge in Richard's Bay. The lodge assisted me with finding transport. Overall, the guesthouse is neat and tidy, and well decorated even though one can tell the furniture is not high end and some elements of it are old fashioned like the toilet. It does feel homey. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen is well stocked.

Cons- Some of the walls have stains on them. They need to be properly cleaned or repainted. There is a disgusting toilet brush in the bathroom. I didn't take a picture of it because it's literally nauseating. They need to get rid of that thing. It shouldn't be anywhere near humans. On the day, I checked in, there were no lights on the staircase leading to my guesthouse. The entire staircase was pitch black. This is an obvious fall hazard. They did install lights the following day. Also, on the day I arrived, I received no assistance whatsoever with carrying my suitcase up the stairs. I didn't receive assistance with my suitcase when I checked out, as well. The couches in the sitting room smell stuffy. They smell like old sweat and feet. They need to be properly washed. The aircons do not work well, particularly on the heat setting. The shower needs a bigger wall mounted tray for guests to put their toiletries such as hair shampoo, body wash, face wash etc, on. The shower itself is quite small but we need a place to place our toiletries. The bathroom light is too dim. This might be deliberate so we don't see too many flaws. The stream of water out of the basin tap in the bathroom isn't smooth. Water splashes out chaotically. OVERALL ASSESSMENT It's definitely not a 4 star accommodation. I would give it 2.5 stars
