Beachside 2 with Private Heated Plunge Pool

It was comfortable, clean and a good location in a quieter part of port Douglas. Loved the plunge pool and the beach close by. It had plenty of essential items eg shampoo, body wash, cling wrap, sugar, sauces etc etc. Staff and communication was also excellent 😊

The plunge pool could have done with a smaller second step to get in and out. Plug in kitchen sink wouldn’t stay down and the plug in the sink in the bathroom got stuck down and didn’t drain very well. An extra garbage bag would be a good idea as well.

Liked everything would definitely book there again

There was nothing to dislike

Most of it I loved. Bed was good, shower was good, pool was awesome, loved the concrete areas.

I would have liked blinds or curtains, so the sun wouldn’t come into the room so early.

Nice location, huge space for relaxing and many things to do.

Having plunge pool in our private courtyard was great for relaxing after sightseeing 😉 & Bbq outside was also a bonus to enjoy the mild weather. 👍🏻 Good communication from owner meant easy access on arrival 🙏

Had great difficulty trying to get the electric induction hot plate to work consistently & no instructions to see how to fix... But we survived with Bbq instead 😉

The decor was lovely. I was able to check in a little early which was so fantastic as I'd missed a nights sleep travelling. The owner responded quickly when we needed hand towel and the pool temperature checked. The location was perfect for us as we could walk to our families other accomodation. It is right near the beach The bathroom had a door. The plunge pool was such a bonus.

We didn't realise The accomodation was open plan sleeping with no bedrooms. When I booked for myself, my niece and her partner a 2 bedroom appt, we expected there to be actual bedrooms. whilst it was lovely decor it made it tricky as my niece and her partner were essentially sleeping next to the kitchen which meant I couldn't have breakfast or boil the kettle etc till quite a while later than I would have preferred. Getting changed was tricky, amongst other things. Thankfully we just looked on the funny side and it was only 3 nights.

A short stroll to 4 mile Beach made this a great location. The tavern a few minutes walk away was great also. The plunge pool was an added bonus. The shuttle buses were an easy way to get into town.

Few things needed some attention. The kitchen basin plug didn't work so it was difficult to wash up. Some of the lights didn't work. Insufficient shelves for storage.

The location

The images online were misleading. The property had a smell and was not clean. The utensils and dinnerware was out on the bench, not cupboards/storage in kitchen and used items left in the fridge. The plunge pool was not heater and the outdoor very claustrophobic with a rollaway bed out there. The property owner had no interest in rectifying or accommodating our requests
