Nothing, the host confirmed, then didn’t show up, leaving our family completely stranded after getting a taxi there. Worst experience on booking.com.

The host was entirely disrespectful of our time and effort. She confirmed in the morning, 8:30am with TWO emails - and then when we get to the property we noticed a message saying she couldn’t make it until 5:30pm. We had arrived at 5:30pm so that wasn’t a problem, and then were told she now wouldn’t be in until 7:30pm and couldn’t do it. We were already there as it was confirmed - and were left stranded on the middle of nowhere (it is far from time) having to try to find another taxi - and get somewhere new with no notice. Terrible.

Cold shower only, no towels

It is a really nice and quite place. Clean and the bed are really compfy. The host ist amazing and will help you with all the things you need.

The only thing is that the ac is a cube. It's not cooling down the whole room but it was enough to have a good sleep. So nothing to worry about too much

The host was very helpful and kind. Helped us with booking and directions info. It helped that she spoke english. The kitchen was functional and met our needs.

Good price, had a kitchen, the family room was spacious. A/c was okay and could have a hot shower. Filtered water available for free.

No staff / reception. Room wasn’t cleaned during our 3 night stay which is a problem when the toilet paper bin is small and lidless. Also only had one roll of toilet paper so would have run out if we were there any longer. Shower didn’t drain properly so the whole bathroom flooded. On the second and third night the shower was also full of ants. Bathroom started to smell like urine - think this was linked to the poor drainage. Room smelled really really strongly of mothballs and incense when we arrived. Overpowering and headache inducing. I think this was to keep out bugs and it kind of worked. Bedding had footmarks and dirt on it. Think it had been washed but no stain removal from washing in cold water. Windows didn’t have glass - just mosquito nets with holes. No blind for the entry door or large window so room was bright as the sun came up. Front door could be locked but didn’t seal shut - big gap to the wall.

The location was fine. The room was spacious, the bathroom a bit less. The room and beds were clean but there was no cleaning during our stay (3 nights in total). It would have been nice if the room/bathroom had been cleaned but given the price/night perhaps understandable. Correct price/quality. Friendly owner.

There were no easy chairs or hammocks to sit outside. . The check-out is very early (owner put us out of bed at 07:00 am) and told us we should leave in a hurry as it would take us at least 2 hours to get to the airport. Which was absolutely not correct. In reality the owner had to go to work and she wanted the cleaning lady to start cleaning the room. Now the house rules do state that check-out is from 06:00-08:00 so one should know but it would have been nicer to remind us the evening before and not exaggerate the travel time just to get rid of us.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. The place was spacious and very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and enormous bathroom that can double as a drying room for swimwear, towels, etc. AirCon was a luxury in the humidity, and the bed was comfortable. A great place to relax after days of snorkelling or excursions.

It's about a 15 minute walk from the port and main tourist area but considering the cheap room rates, it's only a small consideration. Plus, there are lots of local shops and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk. The walk back gives you the opportunity to see life for the locals outside of tourism and to get some really good empanadas from outside the market after 16:00!
