Cozy Hosting Galapagos

This is the perfect spot if you're doing the Galapagos as a backpacker/on somewhat of a budget. The room is air conditioned and super comfortable. The shower has hot water and the WiFi is very decent by Galapagos standards. The kitchen meant we were able to make all our own meals instead of spending hundreds dollars on pretty average meals out. Graciela was really helpful and welcoming, offering advice and help with booking tours etc. The location isn't central, but it's only a $2 taxi to the centre if you're not feeling the walk.

quite a walk into town in the heat. the owner turns the Wi-Fi off when guests are out on trips but we came back and she wasn’t home and we had to sort out transferring money and contacting our travel agent for details of our next day ferry, caused us unnecessary stress as she didn’t return home and it never went back on, we would have completed it all the night before when the Wi-Fi was on.

We really enjoyed the space we had - a separate kitchen and seating area, the bedroom and a huge bathroom. Our host, Graciela was thorough in making sure we could access the property when she was unable to receive us due to work commitment. Though it is a walk from the main areas, the surroundings did not feel unsafe. It is ideal for families and even couples we wish to have a bigger space for a change!

the kitchen we had did seem to lack some utensils but I think it was possible to ask Graciela if needed.

The host was extremely helpful with giving information on the island and activities and help me book the tours that I wanted to do. Very nice appartement with well furnished kitchen and lots of space. Very comfortable!

No microwave in the kitchen and there was a misunderstanding on how to get the key to come in initially.

A comfortable & welcoming haven in Puerto Ayora. A huge room with everything you need, and a kitchen and garden area to cook and relax in. Graciela was very accommodating and we would recommend 100%!

Friendly host, clean room

Kitchen was not clean and the hot shower did not really work.

This is a lovely space and much bigger than we expected. Lots of space to cook for yourself which we liked. It’s a little bit of a walk from the town centre but we didn’t mind that at all, maybe 15 minutes but taxis are only $1.50 and there’s always a taxi passing by to hail down. Communication with the host was great and we had no problems. The space is very cool with lots of paintings and interesting decorations!
