Casa do Pico do Salomao

Raquel was incredibly welcoming, provided us with all the information needed about the apartment and local resources such as the grocery store and shopping center. She also provided us with fans once we realized two of the bedrooms did not have air conditioning. The apartment was clean and had a good layout with a well stocked kitchen. The apartment was also very quiet, and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked with shampoo and toilet paper. The pool was a nice amenity for the kids. The apartment looks even better in person than it did in the online photos. It Is an exceptionally nice apartment in a good, central location.

The beds were especially firm, and I generally like firm beds, but these would benefit from a mattress topper to provide some cushioning. It would be nice to have air conditioning in all the rooms.

The areas

Location is very accesible to the sites we wanted to visit. The accomadation was very pleasant and enjoyable.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Pool, Tennis court, modern Kitchen. Quite big apartment. Ground floor. Raquel the host is a very nice and service-oriented person. She offer some local food and drinks as welcome gift. We complaint about dirty showerheads and they immediately exchanged them. She also booked a Taxi for us to the Airport.

The living room has a very strong smell of humidity and mould. It seems that it comes from the sofa. The smell was so discomforting at times that we did not use the room very much and preferred to eat in the kitchen.

The location and quality of the apartment

Nothing to not like

The best apartment we booked during our stay in Portugal. We had a very late arrival time and the hoster wait for us to provide the keys and all needed information related to the apartment and neighborhood. The hoster kept in contact with us all the time via WhatsApp. Very comfortable apartment, clean, functional for a group. Please consider it is not located walking distance to the old part of the city. We rented a car and worked for us very well. You can find parking space in front of the building. It is very easy to drive around the island. I do recommend this beautiful and comfortable apartment.

The apartment is very nice, large, clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. We really enjoyed our one week visit here and I would definitely come back exactly to this one apartment on my next visit of the Azores. Thank you!! :)
