Athena Rooms

Nice little room in a fantastic location at the corner of the beach. Common deck area was wonderful seltered from the wind with great view and comfortable seating. Lots of restaurant options nearby. Great access to the Dead Man's Gorge walk.

Room was quite small with limited servicing. Only two towels and one bathmat for three nights.

It was absolutely great to be able to use the chairs and banks outside. It felt like a living room on the beach. Cool and with friendly, fast support.

The Apartments are small but cozy - we stayed on for 2 nights, and we spent most of the time outdoors. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. In front of each there is table with chairs, and there is a common terrace with a beautiful view on the sea and the sunrise! The rooms have a window view partly on the sea - so be aware, you are going to fall asleep with sound of the waves! There are mosqitieras in the windows which is very nice! The bathrooms are clean and with great water pressure! If you are looking for the quiet remote place, with direct access to the sea in the very remote village (yes there are few tavernas but there is no shop) and you wanna just relax - or you wanna have nice spot to amazing places in the area (gorges/beaches etc)- that's the perfect place to stay. The beach in front the building is very nice and the water is crystal clear! The Zakro's Georg is worth to make! Amazing places! I'm sure I will be back here. And Athena's apartments have a lot of regular customers who are coming back each year (we met some)! :)

It's not I did not like, because we were prepared, but the room is very small and there was no way to cook anything. There is a kettle, a small fridge, and plates - you can make small breakfasts or cold meals easily but you won't cook there. Before I came I was sure I would eat outside - but it's just a warning for those who might expect to cook full meals in the apartments.
