Anthia Apartment Sea View

What a beautiful place! We we wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is up on the hill with a beautiful view out to sea and just a short walk down the hill to the front where there's some nice restaurants. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need to cook proper meals. WiFi was good. Marianna was really lovely and met us to show us the apartment and gave us some olive oil and biscuits when we arrived. We definitely want to come back.

Exceptional cleaning, spectacular sunrise and views, stunning hikes right there, and a sweet sweet host

Localisation of the house was the best in the area of Kato Zakros. Gorgeous view of the bay. Peacefull place, full of cretan plants (olive trees, citrus trees, tangerines trees, etc.). House has good equipped kitchen, TV, Netflix, good bed and everything you need to rest during holidays. Marianna, the Owner of Anthia Apartment See View is a very hospitable woman! She took us to the olive oil factory in Zakros. Anthia Apartment See View has good start for walk to The Gorge of the Death, Minoan Palace in Kato Zakros, and the Pelekita Cave. Short walk to the beach in Kato Zakros and great greek taverns (Taverna Glaros with greek food, great location, great owners, great price).

The house was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor terrace and an amazing view. The location was quiet and convenient for hikes and the beach. Marianna was a wonderful host. She showed us the way to the house, left us little Christmas cakes and honey and gave us a farewell gift of cakes for New Year’s.

Everything was just perfect. Marianna is a wonderful host, the house has everything you need and the view is awesome. We will definitely come back!

On our way to Kato Zakros, we were informed that internet/communication was down (nothing to do with the room, was for the whole area). Still, I got an email and the owner waited us to take us to the room. Which is probably on the best spot, overlooking the bay...So, you get a rather big detached unit, with 2 ACs, clean and cozy, and lots of space outside to sit and just look the view or the sky. You also get a very attentive owner, who cares. We had room service (unexpected, we are very grateful) and some of our forgotten kids' clothes were sent to our next destination. Bottom line: I would go again. I felt I was treated nicely, by people who care.

The best view in Crete. We were during off the season so we were very lucky to be the only guests on the property and have it all to ourselves. So quiet and peaceful, only many variety of birds and beautiful flowers. We could spend a whole day on the terrace enjoying the sun and the view but it also has many hikes and the sea. It’s a walking distance from the entrance of the beautiful Death Canyon, and the Minoan archeological site. Kato Zakros has a long beach and it’s 15 min walking down the hill from the house. The climb back is gradual and was not hard to us. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Many thanks for the farewell gifts!

If one thing had to be improved, we would choose the shower curtain and fixing the shower head to stay above the head.

The walk to the beach and tavernas was unpleasant. There was no alternative but to follow the dirt road.
