Relax City Apartments

The host was really kind and welcoming. Communication via Whatsapp to arrange arrival and key handover went really smooth. This also made him really approachable just in case something was wrong (not that we needed it, because everything was fine). The appartment itself was simple but comfortable, quiet, and private. We could walk to the tram stop for a very quick and cheap direct connection to Strasbourg centre. All in all, a perfect alternative for the overpriced stays in Strasbourg.

It is not easy to find an apartment with 3-4 bedrooms, particularly not around Straßburg at Christmas time. This place had it all. The apartment is perfectly clean. The landlord went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He had only just taken over the place, so most of the ratings on the site will refer to someone else. We could park in front of the property. The neighbourhood is very quiet. Shopping and restaurants is about 10 minutes by foot. The city centre of Straßburg is about 15 minutes by car and can also be reached by public transit.

Some of the pillows were hard. The apartment was still a bit spartan - maybe as time goes along, people will leave oil, vinegar, sugar, etc., like you find in many apartments. Some people reported that the shower curtain upstairs sticks to you when you take a shower. I had a shower stall downstairs, so no issue. I could not find any heat control, and found it a bit cool.

Everything....dirty, mouldy, not what shown in photos, bed mattress not suitable. Owner refused to negotiate and charges cleaning fee even though we did not stay one night if the 4 we had booked.

It was comfortable and clean, it feels like home, good for relaxing, the neighborhood is calm.

Even though we did not meet the owner personally, on the phone he was very friendly and available. The collecting of the key was also very easy and well-explained. The location of the appartment is very nice: a cosy, and pretty neighborhood where you have several cafés and restaurants. The street is quiet. We enjoyed a lovely evening-walk in the area.

The appartment is quite small. We also did not expect it's located in the basement of a flat, but there are still two windows on the street. Just be aware there's not so much space if you're staying with more than 2 persons.
