The Annex - Guest Gardens

The space was bigger than expected, kitchen was a decent size. The welcome gifts and treats were lovely and very thoughtful to leave milk in the fridge.

Overall the property could do with a deep clean there were a few cobwebs in the corners of rooms. A thorough clean in the bathroom would be good as there was some debris in the shower cubicle and on the walls.

Great location for us visiting family. Nice touch of leaving milk, bread, orange juice, etc. Quiet area. Good size for a one bed apartment. Great to have car parking space.

Sofa bed was not comfortable and was grubby. Stains on the sheet plus the duvet smelt damp. Place had cobwebs and crumbs on the floor. Needs a good deep clean. Bed clothes were not great either. The furniture is outdated. The leather chair smells of damp. The blinds are also dirty and some are broken. The taps in the sink in the bathroom weren't clean and the hand soap left had green stains on it. The towels were OK, a few marks on them.

Very clean, lots of nice touches and well equipped.

No dishwasher

The location was an easy commute to everything we needed. The host was very hospitable and easy to communicate with, left clear directions and everything and more that was needed was supplied

Shower cubicle, all cooking amenities that you needed were their, washing machine supplied, light and airy accommodation and sky TV for those wet afternoons

Spotlessly clean, a lot bigger than expected . Very comfortable bed. A lot of lovely extras.

Nothing to dislike at all

Enjoyable stay. Appreciated the space and ability to use washing machine after a couple of weeks travelling. Owner has put a lot of thought into it, e.g. providing an extensive range of ‘treats’.

Minor concerns were: FIRSTLY address on booking.com didn’t say which number property (it was number 1) so didn’t know where to go within the collection of properties. A helpful neighbour advised us which door to knock on. Owner didn’t answer phone but when talking to her I phoned again while she had the phone in her hand but it didn’t ring and just went to message bank. The owner said there was also supposed to be an email from booking.com either details (eg which property number and where the key was) but we didn’t receive it. SECONDLY, after washing clothes and hanging on drying rack (thoughtfully provided in unit), the heating panels went off overnight, and then came on automatically in the morning before we got up. Apartment became quite cold, but there was an electric blanket so ok while in bed. DESPITE those glitches, everything else was great.
