The size, cleanliness, quiet, park always available and the host was amazing even arriving after hours.

Couldn’t close the roller shutters in the bedrooms. The wifi is very good in the living room and kitchen but not in the bedrooms.

The apartment is big, super comfortable, with 2 bathrooms for 3 bedrooms. The beds are big, the mattresses are comfortable. For those - I guess most of the travelers - who want to explore the island by car it is the perfect choice, since it is very easy to get out of town without driving through Ponta Delgada's smaller streets. The town centre is easy to reach on foot in 15-20 minutes. The huge supermarket nearby has everything, gas station is also close. The hosts were friendly and very responsive. If you are like me (reading all the reviews before booking): there was no humid, moldy air at all (we travelled mid October and there were some rainy days) in the apartment. And the thingy for the washing machine is not a broken piece, it is a child safety solution and not that complicated to use, we managed to wash our clothes. :) It was always easy to find a parking spot within max 2 minutes of walking distance (the parking lot of the supermarket is very tempting, but they will fine you if you leave the car there)

I stayed here for four nights on my own, as it was the least expensive private option last minute near Ponta Delgada. I was allowed to check in earlier in the morning since I was getting to town early and wanted to drop off my things. André was amazing in answering all my questions and even came back when I was having trouble opening the door. He also arranged taxis for me on the two occasions that I needed them. The apartment is spacious and clean, with so many balconies, which is great! It's a real bang for your buck. The supermarket is literally a minute walk around the corner. If you don't have a car, like me, it's about a 20-25min walk to the city center, but there's also the Ponta Delgada mini buses that run around the city from 7:30am-7:30pm for just 50cents a ride. There are two lines with stops fairly near to the apartment, if you're not in the mood to walk or the weather isn't great or whatever. It's definitely worth it and I'd imagine it'd be a great place to stay in a group, with all the space.

These are barely "cons", but the wifi for the most part just worked in the living room. The washing machine also has a broken handle, which André showed me how to finagle, but I couldn't really figure out when the time came to use it. I didn't actually need the washer, as I had packed enough clothes for my whole stay. I just wasn't able to clean the towels that I used, which I had planned to do.

Very convenient location, 20 min walk to the port and a supermarket right behind the corner. The apartment is really huge (3 bedrooms, enormous living room, 2 bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen and 3 balconies). Andre, the host, is extremely nice and helpful, a great guy. p.s. for swimming, go to the Milicias beach
