Bougainvillea House - The Heart of Simonstown

The location was. amazing. Such a cosy, well-appointed little cottage. Just loved it. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Absolutely nothing

The property exceeded our expectations Great location. Orientation is perfect. Corner seating in the lounge was our favourite spot . Staff were very helpful and friendly. Convenience of tea and coffee appreciated.

Windows that do not work. Bathroom. Sash needs repair. Window in main bedroom painted shut. Curtains - full blackout to bedrooms required.

It is a lovelly place in a great location. Stunning views of Simons Town harbour and False Bay from the top deck. Lots of eateries within walking distance.

On arrival we struggled to open the security gate. Later, I attempted to lock it but I just could not get it to lock. I was not very comfortable to go to sleep with it unlocked. I contacted Ann the agent she said she would come later when she checks in another guest. I told Ann we were going to get lunch. When we returned from lunch we waited for Ann. It was starting to get late, I then sent Ann a WhatsApp asking if she is coming and that I am not comfortable going to sleep with the gate unlocked. She responded much later that she did come around and sent instructions of how to lock the gate. After much struggling, I eventually got it to lock. In the morning, I tried to open it again with no success. We eventually gave up and started using the kitchen entrance to enter and exit. I spent a lot of time fiddling with this security gate lock and was not happy about it.

The location of the property was perfect and the beds is super comfy 😍.

There was abit of a mix up with checkin but it was quickly sorted out
