Leonidas Apartments

The location was fine though it is very close to a swamp so mosquitos were swarming. Overall the room and bathroom were clean.

However the room we were given was on the roof, we needed to bend over to walk around and reach the terrace, that is how low the ceiling was. There was no toilet paper, no soap of any kind, no dishwash detergent or sponge which usually are all present in an apartment-type accomodations. The furniture was ancient and the beds were creeky and far from comfortable. The bathroom and the terrace were decent in condition and looks. We were told that the big terrace where a service room had an exit to was ours and there would be no disturbance. One of the days a man and some mechanics showed up on the terrace without any warning while I was having lunch. The host was quite irratable, did not like being asked any questions and on the check out was quite rude when at exactly 11AM started shouting angrily that we should have already left and should not be there. And to top all that most evenings there was absolutely no hot water. The first night when we arrived the host said we should wait for 10 minites so that heat power switches between solar and grid and that such outage had only happened twice this season. Which was obviously a lie as most of the evenings the water was cold and no waiting helped. Having no hot water while being at the seaside with a baby is a no-no.

The host was friendly and helpful, the property’s location is convenient and central for the beach, restaurants and shops. It has the very best balcony of the whole of Nea Preamos. The apartment is extremely great value for money! We are very happy with our holiday.

We stayed at the apartment on the top with the big balcony. It was clean and with a nice view. The location is also great.

The water pressure is inconsistent both for the hot and the cold water. It's an attic room which means it has low ceilings.

The location is very good, there were free parking places in front of the property. The area is not so busy for parking but very close to the beach. Very polite host during the check-in.

I have received a message that the checkout is at 11am but at 10.40am we were told by the host who was knocking at the door, that he was late with his schedule and we must hurry up and leave the apartment. We leaved the apartment exactly at 11.00am. That almost ruined our good impression.

Nothing, really!

On good days there is no hot water. On bad days there is not ANY water. There are ants in at least two of the apartments, crawling in from multiple holes in the walls. The ventilation in the toilet doesn't work. It is impossible to sleep with the windows open, because of the constant loud traffic and music from the main street in front. There is a restaurant with live music across the street where the singing continues past midnight every day. There is neither dish soap nor a sponge in the kitchen. We were only afforded 1 roll of toilet paper per week for 4 people. Also only 1 tiny piece of soap. There is not even a hook to hold the shower head. All bathing is a challenge. The air conditioner stops when you are out, so it's searing hot inside every time you come back. The host keeps going inside uninvited - not to clean up or resupply but to open up the sun blinds, ensuring it's even hotter afterward. On one of those unsolicited visits, he rudely commanded me to throw out the trash. The place is tiny, just enough to hold the beds. We were constantly tripping over our own luggage. There is no sound insulation between the two rooms and the bathroom so you can forget about any privacy. There is no WiFi on the top floor. The enclosed pictures of the apartment were probably how it looked when it was built decades ago. Now everything is old, rusty and falling apart. This is now just cheap hole. Problem is, it’s not cheap at all and there are even luxurious villas in Nea Peramos costing less. We considered just moving out and looking for another place, but of course, there is a "no money back" policy. Any one of those is more than enough to spoil your vacation. You've been warned!
