The Writer´s Nest

It was a very nice and comfortable place.

It would have helped to know the apartment was not in front in locating it. It was quite confusing. A few more supplies in the kitchen such as coffee pods and paper towel would have been useful.

Central location in town, roomy apartment with good kitchen. Host was very responsive and refunded my payment promptly in response to the bedbug problem. Host said she would clean the apartment.

Bedbug infestation in bedroom. Furnishings were old. Exterior needs painting.

We recently stayed at The Writer's Nest in Grundarfjörður for 3 nights. The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, and the cozy, peaceful atmosphere made it an ideal spot for relaxation. The property is well-equipped and has a unique charm, perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in Iceland.

However, we did encounter a significant issue with bedbugs in the bedroom, which unfortunately impacted our stay. We were constantly worried and checking for them, which took away from the overall comfort. We do hope this issue is addressed quickly, as the property has great potential otherwise.

Bright lights outside. Have a real coffee maker or pour over.

Beds are the most important thing in a hotel or apartments. Mattresses should be new and adequate. I had to sleep on a sofa which was very bad but still better than any bed present.

Good location, good size.

Quite old furniture, dark room, minimalistic equipment in the kitchen. Not very kind personnel.

Nice and big apartment. The Kirkjufell/Kirkjufellsfoss is nearby.

The hosts were exceptionally helpf. Their rapid response and attentiveness made our stay truly enjoyable.
