On the Beach at Hastings Point

Location was beautiful once the rain had cleared out.

Rooms had visible mould on walls. Had some very noisy neighbours

The location is great

The property was very dirty. The couches were dusty and sandy, there was old dried vomit on the mattresses and pillows, the bathroom floors were dirty and the deck had dirt and debris. We were told they would provide a bathmat and teatowels but these weren’t provided.

Well equipped Unit, dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, washing machine.. Comfortable bed. We took our own towels, sheets and pillows as they are not supplied. Close to the beach and a short walk to the bridge to swim in the creek or sun bake on the sand.

Steep drive with a car usually parked near the gate to the Units making it hard to bring groceries, clothes and other things for a week stay.

No TV coverage. Only DVD's which were pld and did not work well

The area was lovely.

The house was not as advertised. We were met with mould on the walls and the shower, dirt, grime and spider webs on the cupboard doors, skirting boards and windows. The tea towel offered was dirty. The mould was the worst in the children’s room, which wasn’t great for our asthmatic. There were very few kids DVD’s and the DVD remote didn’t work, so we couldn’t skip through the scary parts of any semi-appropriate movies. Almost all DVDs were pirated as well. It was so uncomfortable we ended up leaving after only being there for two hours, and staying elsewhere. I emailed the owners but have yet to hear back from them. Overall, it was really disappointing and after driving 14 hours, we were excited to settle into a clean, comfortable property but were met with discomfort and disgust.

Location was great and close to beach and shops. Clean and comfortable too.

We had to hire our own linen and towels which meant factoring in time to collect and return - would have preferred to have those items provided.
