Casa do Louro

Steile Lage, aber dafür einen unvergleichliche Ausblick über das Tal und das Meer. Wir waren im Ground Floor, und von dort aus kann man aus den Räumlichkeiten heraus die hervorragende Aussicht bewundern. Morgens aufzuwachen und das erste, was man sieht, sind Palmen und Meer. Hierzu könnte ich noch viel mehr schreiben, würde aber den Rahmen sprengen.

Wenn man Selbstversorger ist, würde man einige Sachen schon vermissen. Dies ist aber Klagen auf hohem Niveau.

Super Lage, sehr schöne Wohnung mit bombastischem Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Balkon sowie unkomplizierter Check-In und Check-Out. Alle nötigen Informationen haben wir im Vorfeld von Duarte erfahren.

Eine Grundausstattung an Gewürzen wie Salz und Pfeffer wäre schön gewesen. Die Türen haben teilweise geklemmt und waren entsprechend sehr laut beim Öffnen und Schließen.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The view is truly amazing, and the beautiful garden with palm and banana trees is perfect for relaxing. The house itself is modern, with nice equipment and a very comfortable bed. Altogether, a lovely place to spend a holiday.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was stressful. We didn’t receive the promised check-in information in advance, and after arriving on the island we spent two hours trying to reach the host without success, both via Booking messages and by calling the provided number (which only had a voicemail in South Africa). Only two hours after the advertised check-in time were we finally able to reach the owner and get the door codes. Just a small note for future guests: parking at the house is very uphill and can be a bit challenging. Overall, once we got settled, we really enjoyed the apartment and its surroundings.

Buenas ubicación. La casa se divide en dos estancias diferentes, una en la planta de arriba y otra en la de abajo, cada una se alquila por separado.. El apartamento de arriba es bonito, y moderno, con todo el menaje y equipamiento, lavadora y horno Arriba tiene dos habitaciones grandes y cómodas, una con vistas al.mar y otra a la montaña con un pequeño jardín que también da a la montaña y al mar aunque no se ve el mar desde la habitación.. El dueño no estaba pero una persona se encargó de recibirnos y no tuvimos problemas con el check in. Luego no necesitamos nada más de él, asi que no sé cómo respondería a una emergencia. Cómo casi todo en Madeira, la casa está en una cuesta arriba muy pronunciada y el primer día te dejas el embrague del coche para subir y aparcar en la.zina habilitada junto a la casa, pero una vez que lo conoces la cosa mejora un poco. Las vistas al mar desde el salón o la habitación son estupendas. El apartamento estaba limpio y no nos faltó de nada.

Bella casa con una bella vista. Spaziosa e ordinata in un luogo tranquillo lontana dal centro. Consiglio un noleggio di un mezzo di trasposto per muoversi in completa libertà.

The place was absolutely beautiful! We loved the big windows, the stunning view, and having our own balcony was such a bonus. The backyard barbecue was a great touch too, we definitely made use of that. Everything was really well explained with clear instructions, and we enjoyed complete privacy during our stay. Walking to the beach took around 45 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all, we actually enjoyed the walk! We had a rental car too, so it was only about an 8-minute drive when we didn’t feel like walking. Plus, it was conveniently close to local shops and a couple of snack bars. All in all, a gorgeous place to stay.

There were a few things that didn’t quite match the listing. There was no actual coffee machine, just a French press, and the photos made it seem like you get the whole house, but it’s actually a duplex, you’re just on the top floor. Only one of the bedrooms has a sea view; the other faces the back. The kitchen was missing all the basics - no salt, pepper, oil, or detergent for the washing machine and we were only given a small amount of toilet paper. The TV didn’t really work either, the remote was so unresponsive it made watching anything impossible. Also, there were no mosquito nets and no AC, so sleeping was a challenge. We had to keep the windows shut to avoid bites, which made the room really hot, and we were waking up in the night to deal with mosquitoes.
