great location set in a tranquil marina with lovely views and walks to Brighton hustle & bustle. perfectly sized apartment well equipped for self catering. clean and very comfortable.

Leaving and going home

We were told we couldn't take it on for another 30mins because it was still being cleaned as there was problems with the previous people and the covid rules. We arrived and the placed stunk of stale smoke to the point we had to open all the windows and the patio door. We had to go get an air freshener but tjat didnt work. We then noticed the tiles on the splash back in the kitchen area still had dirt on them and smeared with what must of been a dirty cloth which was also used on the lounge mirror. Bleach had been used to some extent as that you could smell the place was certainly not cleaned properly. Tea marks on the bedside sides of the side table in the bedroom and there was a ball of human hair on the floor in the bathroom and the window sill in there wasn't clean either. There were dirty mugs, plates and cutlery in the draw too. I had to wipe all sides and surfaces down with antibacterial wires so make it clean and livable. Considering covid was mentioned this was not cleaned and checked accordingly not even to a basic standard you'd expect. Now the noise of banging gates from the marina club below all day and late into the night was another issue and also the security gate for the apartments was right next to where we stayed. There's a sign on the gate to ask users to respect those living near the gate to not slam it but to shut it gently which was certainly NOT considered by those residents or guests not even the security guard who used it. If you wanted a nice pleasant stay and a good night's sleep forget it if you stay here. The earliest it started was 5.15am and the latest was 1.30am absolutely disgusting and so disrespectful. We had it booked for 4 nights but couldn't cope with it anymore so left a day earlier. We should of read the reviews before booking as there were many complaints about the noise so this is an issue that hasn't been resolved.

Location was excellent. A very nice property and well equipped. Lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. The owner Robin was very helpful when we contacted him and very easy to get hold of too.

The security gate kept us awake at night. The note asking for the gate to be closed carefully did not make any difference.

Great location, overlooking the Marina moorings, everything you need within a few hundred yards

Excellent location, local facilities such as shopping, and restaurants was excellent, everything you needed on your doorstep. The local area is improving with the beach area being refurbished. Local buses easily accessible. Accommodation was lovely, everything we needed was provided, spacious enough for 2 people and even being in tge middle of a busy marina, we had a lovely relaxing stay.

Nothing, I would stay again and recommend to friends.
