Springvale Farm

Everything! The tranquility, the wonderful beds, the woodburner stove packed on arrival and best of all a complementary home baked bread and farm butter as well as old brown shery.

I loved the comfy bed and fire place, milk, eggs and bread. Close to some great places for food.

The toilet with no door and the toilet was right next to the bed. Quite strange. For a single person would have been okay, but definitely not a welcome feature to our stay. We originally asked for a bath and were told then we cannot have the hot tub. We decided that a hot tub would be awesome so we kept the allocation. When we took the cover off to use the hot tub, we noted that the place where you start a fire to heat the water was filled with water. I messaged Deborah and noted my message was read, but no response was received. We never got to use the hot tub Very disappointing as the weekend could have been exceptional. There are great walks as well, but a lack of signage on the different walks you can go on.

The host is thoughtful. Fresh flowers, home made bread, butter and fresh milk. These were really nice touches to the stay and it made it feel more special. The pet friendly accommodation and fenced yards are also very lovely. This is really the highlight especially watching the sunset. Most of the utensils and dishes are provided for. The heaters also help through colder nights

Some details can be improved. 1. The yard is fenced but the main gate doesn't latch properly and cant be locked. Overtime it opened slightly and luckily I was able to spot that before my small dog got through. 2. Flies - so so many flies all the time. I fully understand its a working farm so its expected but some notice would have helped.I would have prepared and brought my own tea light candles and my net food covers as flies were hovering around food items 24 7.

Quiet, peaceful, clean and well stocked

The unit was spacious and well equipped. It was clean and had all the things that one needs for a stay. The owner communicated perfectly and on arrival we had home made bread, butter and milk. Owner responded promptly. Everything was perfect.

Loved being out in Nature on a farm and especially loved being able to go to the farm store to get healthy vegetable and even being able to collect my own vegetable from the veggie patch. The property is very spacious and the bed linen excellent and luxurious. We received home baked bread, farm milk and farm butter upon our arrival.
