Retreat on Rita ~ Downtown Mount Maunganui with beach access

This wee spot was perfect as a solo traveller who no longer drives so location is key for me.

Very little.... The sun disappeared too early from the courtyard!! But hey it's almost winter!!

It’s location

Upstairs had young people playing load music, night and in the morning. They also used the outside shower next to our bathroom. We had one role of toilet paper. No paper towels.

Great location, good-sized rooms, garage helpful, clean and tidy

Bathroom configuration was a bit odd, but it worked OK. Only a small heater in the lounge meant it was a little cold, but would be fine for most of the year. A better heater would be good in the coldest months

Easy walk to the beach and town

Location was great. The locks were all sticky, not easy to access, including the lock box. The instructions were clear.

The bed was uncomfortable due to a dip in the mattress. For a beautiful place the cutlery was substandard/flimsy, including the knife I found under the couch. All other emenities were fantastic.
