Bonneys Barn Retreat - Luxury homely getaway

Just got back from a lovely stay at Bonneys. Received great communication from the host including additional directions regarding how to access property and was only ever a text message away. We were greeted with complimentary Apple juice and cookies which was a pleasant surprise and a detailed welcome pack listing everything you need to know about the property and local areas. We took full advantage of the garden games and hot tub and the teenagers even found a football pitch nearby that they thoroughly enjoyed. Everything we needed for a bbq was on hand too. Amazing views from the garden and such a peaceful tranquil environment to spend a weekend in.

Not really a negative but definitely glad none of the adults slept in the upstairs mezzanine room as I’m not sure my aching bones could have managed the stair case and low ceilings!. I’d definitely recommend taking insect repellent if wanting to sit outdoors as this is the countryside so you’re never too far away from a bite or 2! Only one bathroom which in any other situation wouldn’t be a problem but I quickly realised that having 4 men in the house meant a LONG wait for the ladies 🤣

The property was spotlessly clean upon arrival and exactly as described. Very comfortable both outside and inside. Well equipped kitchen with lovely cookies and apple juice to welcome us, Loved sitting and watching the resident sparrows feeding on the hedge and we were fortunate to spot the hare and deer in the adjoining field. We all enjoyed our stay.

Such a beautifully restored barn, with lots of original features. The views are stunning, the hot tub was hot and everything was so clean!! Lovely soft towels and bedding and the bed was so comfy! Loved the addition of board games and plastic glasses for the hot tub! The outdoor games, fire pit & bbq weren’t used but were fab!! Great idea!

One bathroom/shower/toilet could be problematic if more than one bedroom occupied. The hot tub would only comfortably allow for two ppl, which again would be problematic if there was a group staying. Could have done with some more lighting in the kitchen area.

it’s a modern and beautiful barn, tranquil location with amazing views

there wasn’t anything we didn’t like but if I had to give some criticism, it would be a stronger shower and a bigger kitchen. it works for 2 people but any more than that and you may struggle a little.

I loved the hot tub and outdoor living space, it was also very well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful couple of days away, the barn itself is lovely and clean and very cosy too! Hot tub was a nice bonus too

Not enough towels for the number of guests we had, thankfully we had packed spares for the hot tub
