Everything, really. It is a quiet venue, the hosts are brilliant. They decorated the place with tasteful Xmas decorations, left Xmas party nibbles out for us and plenty of coffee pods for the coffee machine and ensured we had plenty of heating as it was during the cold spell. They cleaned out the log burner every morning and left lots of logs. Their little poodle was delightful. The famous George pub is a short walk up the road or through the churchyard and across The Mead.

Unfortunately, the car parking was on the opposite side of the road up a little hill in the church square. We didn’t have a problem with this, but some people might.

Beautiful and cosy. Love that the hosts lit the fire for our arrival and had decorated for Christmas! I definitely want to visit again!!

Really wonderful welcome the fire had been lite for our arrival. So cosy and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed and sofa. Beautiful village location, only short walk to village shop. Wish we had more time to explore the local area.
