La Terrazza sulla Val d'Orcia

The view was spectacular.....no question about that.Plenty of hot water, plenty of power outlets. But that's about it.

The kitchen: No pod coffee maker: no electric jug; no toaster; no pasta tongs/etc. I mean this is Italy isn't it? No space to prepare food. Mismatched cutlery.3 dessert spoons and one serving spoon....nearly tore my mouth apart. The bathroom: If you are slightly overweight, forget it....you will be lucky to get into the shower.Not exaggerating. Generally: The sofa smells....needs a thorough clean. need to be careful when moving around the table, not to take out your hip on the table corner or your ankle on the step corner.to outside balcony. Cleaning utensils and cleaning chemicals every where; behind doors, on view on the balcony, in the area at top of stairs, whole shelf of stuff visible in bathroom etc. Who needs to see all this crap. hide it away for heavens sake. And then there is the access problem. Everything in this village is uphill......and I do mean uphill. OK I understand that but when you can park only 150mt. away (if space is available) you then have to haul your luggage over seriously difficult cobble stones which could easily rip the wheels off your bags. And then finally you reach the front door....but wait, there's more.....then you have two floors of steps to climb, and no HAND-RAILS ANYWHERE. Totally outrageous and strictly NOT GOOD ENOUGH. There were other things that bothered us....but I can't be bothered. Just be aware, you are paying for the view, but that's about all.

Beautiful place with a very stunning view from the balcony overlooking the Val d’Orcia. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery!

Die grosse Dachterrasse, die ruhige Lage, der nette Empfang. Die Leute im Dorf alle sehr freundlich. Gute Lebensmittelgeschäfte.

Es gab wenig Platz um eigene Dinge zu versorgen, alle Kästen waren vollgestopft, in Nachttischen irgendwelches Sachen, Schubladen voll mit Tischwäsche, Küche kein Platz für eigene Utensilien. Auch Kasten im Schlafzimmer vollgestopft. Waschküche sehr schmutzig und voller Säcke mit wahrscheinlich Wäsche. Zur Unterkunft führt vom Parkplatz ein steiler Weg, mit Gepäck sehr mühsam. Auch zur Wohnung nochmals zwei steile, enge Treppen. Für viel Gepäck oder nicht mehr so fitte Leute beschwerlich.

L’appartamento era fantastico, con tanti dettagli autentici. Arredato con amore e cura. La vista dalla terrazza sulla valle dell’Orcia era mozzafiato. La comunicazione con il proprietario è stata molto gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente, quando tornerò in questa regione, cercherò di soggiornare di nuovo qui.

The view from the terrace was spectacular, words cannot describe the beautiful scenery. The local restaurants surpassed all expectations of Tuscany food and red wine, the service was superb and very friendly.

Cosy and very clean apartment. Amazing terrace with stunning views. Well equipped and furnished. The village is small and quiet yet with a few decent restaurants and well situated not far from Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vinoni etc. Very nice host.

La Terrazza is absolutely amazing. Wonderful town, views and hosts. The owners parents greeted us on check in and gave us a wonderful welcome and some tips for food nearby. The apartment is comfortable and spacious and the view from the terrace in general but especially at sunrise is spectacular. Don't hesitate to book here!
