Parque Santiago I Duplex

The location was great, walking distance to beach and strip. The grounds around the pool were lovely, the flowers and trees. It was all kept immaculate.

The apartment was not clean upon arrival. I was charged over €140 for a cleaning fee, which I assume is the standard rate for all guests. I find it quite frustrating to have been charged such a substantial fee when the cleanliness of the apartment was clearly lacking. The floors were dusty and grimy, the walls were marked and dirty, and the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Overall, the apartment felt unkempt and unhygienic. It's difficult to understand how this cleaning fee is justified, given the condition of the property. Additionally, the sun loungers were charged at €3 per lounger per day. The pool area also had very strict rules that were not disclosed in advance — no ball games, no floaties, no diving, and no jumping — essentially, swimming only. These rules should have been clearly stated in the listing. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have booked the accommodation. Furthermore, one of the lifeguards displayed aggressive behaviour toward a young man, chasing him away from the pool area and causing a scene in front of other guests. It was an uncomfortable and surprising incident for everyone present. He also left the pool area to pursue this guest, which was concerning. The apartment also lacked air conditioning, with only one fan provided — which frequently cut out — making it nearly impossible to sleep due to the heat at night. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

No air conditioning. Fans not working. Pool was a salt pool. No bins on the complex, was told to use bins at McDonalds

Some apts are a little dated and in need of a refresh but I’ve stayed in far worse and would certainly book again
