Azor Eco Lodge

The hosts elderly parents met us, they were really welcoming. The first morning the mother made us pancakes, and on the 3rd night brought us soup in the evening. The hot tub was very nice, too.

The location was perfect - centrally located to Sete Ciadades, Ponta Delgada and many other parts of the island.

The appliances were a little challenging to figure out how to use.

We recently spent a week at the Azor Eco Lodge in the Azores, and it was nothing short of perfect. As a family of four with two young children, we found this apartment to be an absolute gem. The moment we arrived, we were impressed by its modern design and pristine cleanliness. The apartment is aesthetically pleasing, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The apartment was fully equipped with all possible luxuries and amenities. From a private spa with hot water to a beautiful private garden complete with a cozy fireplace and ample seating, it catered to all our needs. It was a joy to have such a relaxing retreat to come back to after exploring the beautiful Azores. A delightful touch was the warm welcome we received upon arrival: a homemade pineapple cake and local tea awaited us, setting the tone for a week filled with thoughtful surprises. Midway through our stay, they brought us a set of pancakes for the kids and some chocolate, which was a wonderful and unexpected treat. The hosts were incredibly nice and maintained a respectful distance, ensuring we had our privacy while still being available if we needed anything. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience. Overall, our week at the Azor Eco Lodge was fantastic. We had a wonderful time, and the apartment provided everything we needed and more. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and family-friendly accommodation in the Azores.

Every single thing! Extraordinary!

Nothing at all

The apartment location is great, it is close to the city of Ponta Delgada and if you have a car you can drive 6-7 minutes to big supermarkets. The apartment was clean, well decorated and the jacuzzi very nice. We were welcomed with a pineapple tart and tea, which was a nice gesture.

On the day of our check-in, we wrote to the owners to ask if we could arrive 1 hour later than planned. Hours were passing by, we tried to call the phone number written on their page several times, and no one ever answered. I thought this was not normal for them not to check their clients' messages when they are supposed to meet them on that same day. Finally the owner of the place called us with a different phone number, without being aware that we had tried contacting them. He was nice and told us we could arrive one hour later as his parents lived in the house. I think it is not mentioned clearly on the description of the apartment that there are people living here, and it should be made clear for the clients. We then went there, did the check-in with the parents of the owner (who were not aware that we were arriving), they were really nice and showed us the apartment. However, what was really unsettling was later in the evening when we used the jacuzzi with my partner, it was already quite late and we left the jacuzzi after midnight, almost 1 am, we left the cover of the jacuzzi on the floor because we were only going to take a quick shower before going out again to put the cover back and grab the bottle of wine and glasses we had left next to the jacuzzi. And we noticed that in this short span of time (10 minutes) someone had came in the garden and had already put the cover back on the jacuzzi. When we rent this apartment, we expected it to be private and for the owners to respect the boundaries. This really felt as if they had intruded our privacy, and at this time of the night and in such a short span of time it seemed like they had been watching us to see when we were going out of the jacuzzi (there is a window close to the jacuzzi on the upper of the house). We want to believe they didn't do this with bad intentions, but it certainly felt disturbing, our wine was still they showing that we were probably coming back.

We loved Azor Eco Lodge. Hosts were so thoughtful and warm, shared food and great tips for hikes and viewpoints on the island. The private Jacuzzi was awesome. Size of the apartment is enough, the kitchen is small, but has all the amenities you need + dishwasher. Overall, we were super happy.

The space is very nice, and a great location to many spots to visit on the island. The host was wonderful — amazing apple tart, and took our laundry inside to dry when she saw we hung it out to dry.

I think the check in process could be improved, was a little confused. Just a note, this property is “on a main road” so for some people that might bother you. The basement unit is pretty dark, so just be aware of which unit you are booking

Quiet and safe

Heating didn’t work for first few days, jacuzzi was not hot . Washing machine flooded bathroom floor.

Cozy, private and perfect for a couple. Surprisingly breakfast pancakes and apple tart.
