The apartment is in the midst of the city, a frutteria. bakery and small grocery stores are close by, as well as the pedestrian zone with all bars, restaurants and cafes. Still, the apartment is really quiet at night. The downside is that you cannot park at the apartment, and even to reach it by car (it better be a small one) is quite something. We found free parking outside the core zone in about 7 min walking distance. The bed is with stairs within the room to reach on a gallery - a sofa is in the extra room which also accesses the terrace. Since the air condition works very well, the bed under the roof was not a problem. Facilities for cooking etc. are quite good.

Also the terrace does not have really a view, it has quite the opposite wooden protection "walls" well ment to secure your privacy, but of course also taking your view. You can see the next houses and a bit of the mountain behind the town. If it is really summer, it is probably to hot to stay there anyways.

This is a really spacious and comfortable apartment. The main bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The bathroom is nice and clean. Air-con works well - the apartment is very airy anyway with 2 good sized windows. There is a lovely view of the mountains. Checkin was easy and the host helped organise a lift to the station, which was much appreciated.

The terrace is very disappointing. Because there are a few units advertised in the same building, it is difficult to figure out exactly what outside space goes with which unit. From the description, we presumed we had one of the lovely terraces photographed but in fact the terrace we got was across the hall from our front door. It is small and on two levels so contained only two small tables and fold up chairs. No comfortable furniture. Worst of all, the gas boilers for all the units are on the terrace so everytime anyone turns on the water the gas fumes are awful. The apartment is lovely and the view from the apartment is nice but I would not book this unit if you like eating and relaxing outside.

Clean, beautiful, and perfectly located. The owner was very helpful and gave us all the needed info. The location really couldnt be better, right beside the main street, yet on a very quiet street.

Parking is difficult because the ZTL, but the owner was very helpful with the information needed. The local neighbours were very friendly and helpful with it too! The one negative is that we could hear a lot of noise coming from the apartment upstairs. Everything else was perfect!

Great contact with the Host, very clean and great starting point to explore Castellamare Del Golfo. It is really 1 minute to the main street :) Directions to get to the apartment were very good and we had no problems at all to find it and check-in. Host speaks english very well so we had no problem to contact with him and comunicate. After one week the towels and bed sheets were replaced with fresh ones, so it was very good and high-standard hospitality. We highly recommend this place!

In our room air conditioner should be placed higher on the wall, so the low temperature could reach entresol where is the main bed to sleep on. The difference in room temperature between ground floor and upper floor was too big and we had to sleep downstairs because upper floor was too hot for us even after cooling it down for the whole day. Also host should consider to equip the kitchen with a sharper knife an maybe one big mirror down in the apartment - but thats just personal. Other than that, it was really great and we are not complaining at all :)
