We loved the location and the view from the apartment. We were close enough to walk many places and appreciate the area. And to see Mt. Etna and the boat harbor right out the windows and from the fabulous rooftop deck---wow! The bed was very comfortable and the apartment well equipped. The host was very helpful and communicative. Although we didn't meet in person, we felt comfortable conversing with Carmelita and sharing about things we have In common. Prior to our stay in Ognina we had been in France, in north central Sicily as well as in the south and the southeast. This apartment is not in Catania per se (which we found we were glad to experience). We discovered a few things relative to the other locations: (1) fewer people spoke English, (2) finding a Cappuccino was a challenge, (3) Gelato doesn't seem to be a "thing," and (4) massive numbers of people come sunbathe on a big deck suspended over the water. Just differences.

The apartment was air conditioned but we didn't find that the air conditioner for the bedroom on the street side of the apartment cooled that room as well as the other two units did for their areas. We could have moved to the back bedroom but didn't want to create more cleanup duties for someone.

Beliggenheden ved vandet, der var rent og pænt i lejligheden. Værten kom med en parasol til terrassen da vi bad om det. Godt med 2 badeværelser. God aircondition.

"Great value, easy access, plenty to do."

Great for watching the world go by. Easy access to a popular swim spot with a bar. Absolutely fantastic restaurants nearby. Great terrace though very hot! Great if you like sunbathing and an evening drink watching the harbour. A lively spot walking distance but really quiet at the apartment.

Beautiful location by the marina with a view of Mt. Etna and with a wonderful terrace to enjoy the view! Carmelita was very helpful with many suggestions for the area and anything we needed.
