Delightful Carbonesi || The Place Bo Apartments

The location is perfect, in the old town of the city, walking distance. The apartment itself is in an old building and quite area of the city.

You should keep in mind that parking is expensive in Bologna (we didn't know that) - extra 48 Eur for 2 days for parking in ZTL zone. When booking it was noted that there is an option to park (might be of a charge). Regarding the apartment - one shower was broken, there was no bed linen for the kids (even though the booking was for 4 people), received no answer on this issue, some dirty stuff in drawer. Communication was strange - no answers via Booking platform, no response by call, somebody answered through text messages but not all the answers. The feeling is that no warmth is offered from this place, you've received a bed and a roof and that is enough.

Great location, a good-sized apartment with a comfy bed, and it was useful to have a washing machine and tumble dryer.

After a long day, it is nice to have a decent shower, but both showers are lame and could do with updating. Also, it felt a little tired.

Sheer size of the apartment and the location

Communication was non existent, difficulty to get into the property and host remaining mum about luggage storage.. Could have atleast said yes or no despite sending and asking through multiple emails..

The flat is in an amazing location in Bologna, within 5-10 minutes walk of all the main sights, the quadrilateral for restaurants/bars etc, and a 20 minute (fast) walk to the train station. The apartment itself is spacious, at the top of the building and two flights of stairs (no lift), and as the rooms face into the courtyard it was very quiet, particularly at night.

Just a couple of minor things; mainly that there wasn't any 'welcome' pack at all - no tea/coffee, milk etc, which would have been appreciated arriving later in the day, nor even one or two dishwasher tablets. So, if you are planning on self-catering, ensure you bring a few things with you. The waterfall shower in the ensuite had very little pressure. But these are minor things and easily remedied by the owner.

Property was so stylish and had a very positive vibe for us.

Owner was terrible about responding to messages and just kept ignoring them. Very disappointing when you pay in advance and owner can’t respond or show any empathy to messages. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this property and have been using booking.com regularly for last 5 years.
