Sweet Apartments Downtown

Great location, great apartment and great host!

It was bright and spacious with excellent air conditioning. Francisco was helpful by letting us check out late.

The shower was blocked and flooded the bathroom. This was eventually fixed, but towards the end of our stay.

Location was close to the town centre

Unfortunately we encountered a few issues The bathroom door had no lock and kept swinging open so not ideal when there is a family staying in the apartment so had to use the little bin to keep it shut whilst the bathroom was in use. The toilet would not flush all the time so had to wait several hours on occasions for it to refill. There was an issue with ants in the apartment, finally located where they were coming from which was a light switch in the bedroom behind the bed so had to plug holes with tissues and constantly checking to see if any ants had gone into the bed. The shower door leaked so there was more water on the floor which has been like this for some time by the looks of the bottom of the bathroom door. Black mould was around the edges of the tiling in the bathroom. Cannot fault Fransisco as he was really helpfully but unfortunately some maintenance on the apartment needs to be done to improve the stay for

The apartment had a lovely view of the church and was very conveniently located for exploring Vila Nova de Famalicao. We had everything we needed in the apartment and once we settled in it became a real home from home.

There was a slight lack of privacy, as the apartment was sectioned off using a sliding partition, which did not completely close off the bedroom from the living area. Our apartment didn't have a balcony, so it's worth checking that if you want to sit outside. Not a big problem though, as you could be in the town square within minutes.
