Quiet, two bedroom apartment

The owner Siggi picked us up at the Cruise Terminal in spite of having just driven the previous tenants to the airport (a 55 minute drive one way). He also very helpfully drove us around so we could see where the shops (groceries, restaurants, etc) were so we could settle in quickly. He also made excellent recommendations on places to visit in the two short days we had in Reykjavik. Siggi is a very friendly and enthusiastic person, who goes out of his way to be nice to his guests.

The booking.com website could be improved. When we tried to send an online message to Siggi from our cruise ship, it was not clear if the message was received and we never got a response back. And the email link to the host on booking.com did not work. We had to contact Siggi by gmail to get the communication going. Most irritating of all was that the website kept asking us to set cookies over and over - and switched to Spanish randomly - I had to reload the website and choose English to overcome this.

It was warm. We could not stay at the property. we booked a new build apartment for less cost.

The old outdated decor. The shower and kitchen needs updating. There was a slight smell in the property.

We had a great visit in Iceland. The host was very nice and helpfull and one very important thing was the car that was included the apartment.

The apartment was great, very very beautiful and clean, with everything needed: Well equipped kitchen, a lot of space, sofa, TV with Netflix, table. It was a very comfortable stay for 4 people! Also, there's a very dark "spot" nearby (about 1.5 Km) where you may check the northern lights!!! But the best was the Host! He's a very kind person, helped us a lot by giving us tips about Iceland, places to visit and tips for travelling (about weather, roads and so). The stay included a Car which was in very good shape and very powerful (specially considering there was a lot of snow around), so it was great for us and helped us a lot, because we wanted to visit one of the Glacier and usually renting a car may be expensive. We're definitely looking forward to a new visit in summer!

There's nothing I can say that I didn't like. Everything went perfect!

Our hosts were amazing, going above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of. Our trip would not have been the same without them! Apartment is warm and comfortable, with everything you need to cook. Location is ideal for Northern Lights in Reykjavik (2min from 2 different viewing spots). We saw them from our apartment and being so close, every time there was a strong forecast coming to view them in 30min (from phone app forecasts) we were able to get out there fast! location is also 15 by bus to downtown (#11), and 10 walk/5min bus to groceries. In 20 years never seen such great location, value, and hosts all in one! Thank you!
