The location is superb, this is an absolutely beautiful spot--a little village of homes on an inlet that is essentially its own lovely fjord. Below the village is a swimming pool heated by natural hot spring water, and below that is a fantastic "hot pot" surrounded by natural stones, accommodating up to 10 or 12. So relaxing, surrounded by towering bluffs and overlooking the sea. What a perfect end to a day of hiking or, in our case, birdwatching at the Latrabjarg puffin cliffs! Nearest store is a 25-minute drive in Patreksfjordur, so plan ahead with your groceries. If you discover that you forgot the wine or beer or cheese, you are out of luck. Nice house, nice village, absolutely gorgeous location, and did I forget to mention that it has its own hot tub on the deck? Fantastic place for families, kids, larger groups.

Two big complaints and one small one. First, the house was dirty--with dusty tables and counters and hundreds of dead flies all over the windowsills (and elsewhere too). This was really, really unpleasant. Second, some of the beds are really awful--with mattresses softer than a squishy old sponge. I have a bad back (disc troubles) and asked for a firm bed. These beds are the opposite, literally the softest and oldest I have ever encountered in 20 years of staying in rental homes from Booking or AirBnb. Astonishingly bad, it is long since time to invest in decent mattresses. The third, smaller complaint is stocking the kitchen. For the really high price this house demands, you should be sure of salt and sugar, coffee, oil and vinegar, and other essentials in the house. Not here.

Big specious house, with all amenities. Great to have a hot tub in the patio. And a big plus for gas grill.

The heating. It was very hot in the house. But as I understood by the owner the heat was very difficult to regulate due to natural hot water heating. It's hard to control nature...

Amazing house with lots of space, very well equiped kitchen, laundry, a hot tub and great terrace. A natural hot pool is on the other side of the road. Make sure to bring enough food for your stay, there's no supermarket around. We were lucky enough to get three consecutives nights with northern lights.
