Ægisholt privete house with hot tub

Scenic area and close to the thermal pool across the road. Was told eagles move through sometimes, but we didn't happen to see any until further east in the fjords. Lots of snipe in the mowed yard. The temperature was comfortable as the home is heated thermally. Keep in mind the windows are the thermostat essentially. Kitchen and laundry were nice to have.

Minor point is that it is close to the main road, so road noise is noticeable at certain hours. It's somewhat buffered by hedges around the yard.

This place is a gem and the location is absolutely spectacular. The property is cozy and quaint in classic Icelandic countryside fashion with plenty of sleeping room and a full kitchen. We had already been tubbing on the day but there is a hot tub on the property and a hot spring tub directly across the street. Location wise this is an excellent stopover point if you are heading into the westfjords from Reykjavik.

Ideal localization, near the sea. Big house with full equipment, lots of space and clean. In addition, the hot water pool on the terrace is really great, we had a very nice time. I reccomended it!

Spacious, clean house in lovely location near a hot spring by the ocean. Friendly host.

The only facility that could be improved is the shower - in the brown house. The spray is weak and the water isn’t hot enough. It was difficult to get access when we arrived after dark. A sign to the manager’s house would be helpful. The host was away and didn’t seem to be expecting us. She told us via phone how to find a key in her house. We went around trying the key in each house door until it worked in one. Other guests had their names written on labels on the front doors. But these are just small issues. We enjoyed our stay in such spectacular surroundings.

Host was friendly and helpful. We had a deflated tire and the host actually helped to pump up our tire. There's a nice hot tub where we soaked in and enjoyed the Northern Lights. Comes with a washer and dryer which was really helpful to have. BBQ pit provided.

Nice property by the town, nice for a family, we had great time viewing the auroras sitting in the private hot tub! Superb!

The washing machine may need some maintenance. Otherwise excellent!
