Appartamento molto accogliente, pulito e dotato di tutto. Personale gentile e disponibile. Consigliatissimo!

The host is really communicative and responsive. There was also coffee and croissants upon arrival.

The bathroom door is plastic so there is no real privacy. The hot water is kind of enough but you need to be mindful not to waste much.

Cozy apartment. Very comfortable bed and excellent WiFi. Small kitchenette complete with stove top and mini table top oven. Sufficient to prepare a basic meal. Lots of pizzerias in local area and close to bus stops to Palermo city centre. Able to find free on street parking around 5 minutes walk away.

Noise from other residents. Neighbourhood is not particularly pleasant but the property has an additional caged door for security.

The area is not the best. The living space is enough for a maximum of 2 people. The sofa provided for 3rd people kept folding (it was already repaired, but not well). Noisy neighbourhood, every street noise was heard through the door. No windows. The broken shower door was replaced with a shower curtain. The apartment may have been a garage before.

If you have a car, the location is not a problem, and parking in the area is always available and is free. Eurospin is nearby, as well as a bus that goes to the city center. The owner is very friendly and check-in is very easy. It was not noisy at night, despite the location on the ground floor next to the street, it is not disturbing, the entrance is double locked. The kitchen is functional for basic needs. Good value for money :) and definitely felt safe in this neighborhood (compared to other parts of Palermo).

The mattress seemed a bit old, but it was not uncomfortable.

On the booking site it was said that we can park in the street and that no reservation is needed. You have to be very very lucky to find a parking place nearby. The street is dirty, garbage allarround. You need some skills to open the door, one of the keys is tricky. And you have to be careful when you are going in or out, because the door open directly to the street, cars running just by. The information about the exit was too late - we have already left.

Good wifi & coffee

The garage conversion was not for me. I found: The place to be covered in dust Glasses were dirty The only ceramic mug has a crack in it The shower has mould spores Bath mats have grime around them One chair had a rip in it The bed cover had dirty marks on it It does not particularly have any windows. The ones in the ‘bedroom’ face onto an enclosed outdoor storage area. It’s located 20/30 minutes from the centre which might not be ideal for some.

Now I can judge very well what kind of accommodation Palermo was. Because after 2 days in Palermo, I transferred my headquarters to Catania. So the difference between the two is heaven and earth. And the accommodation in Palermo is heaven... only the shower cabin was smaller than it should be for me, but everything else suited me. I was a solo traveler, and I think it could be a perfect option for 2 people. If you have a car, like me, it's easy to find a parking space, at least in early spring. The host has a great attitude.
