Casa del Ginnasio - Taormina city center

The apartment has a good location, some minutes walk from the Villa Communale and from Corso Umberto. Good communication, check in was smooth. It’s a spacious flat, the kitchen was equipped and has two lovely terraces. All good for the price.

Sometimes bad smell in the bathroom.

Plenty of space for 5 people. Close to town. Clean and comfortable. Good facilities for cooking. Nice rooftop balcony.

Beds uncomfortable.

It was difficult to find the actual building and front door. Very small sign on door. Large house name sign would have helped

All of the stairs to just get into the apartment and that there was no washing machine. I think that the stairs should be mentioned in the summary of the place on Booking.

The property exceeds expectations! the photos do not do it justice. Located in the centre of Taormina, 10 min walk to the parking shuttle bus. All the spaces are much bigger and nicer than in the photos. Comfortable for 5 people. The balconies and the kitchen on the roof top had the most incredible views, and they were super spacious. Apartment comes with a well equipped kitchen. Would 100% recommend

great location, I liked that it was quiet during the night. beautiful, very cozy, just like in the photos. host friendly and responsive: had issues with the internet one morning and in the afternoon someone came in and fixed it.

not that i didn’t like or din’t know in advance, but just notice that there is no washing machine (cloths or dishes) and there is only one tv (in the kitchen).

When we arrived at Casa del Ginnasio we were immediately greeted by Lucia. Lucia was a fantastic and informative host who provided lots of useful information about the area and where to visit. She was friendly, warm and as enthusiastic as us about our trip. The apartment had a wonderful homely feel to it, situated in a fantastic location that had views of the sea and old theatre. The amenities were great and the air conditioning was hugely welcomed after wondering around Taormina during the day and evening. All the facilities were clean and well maintained. Thanks again to Lucia for being a fantastic host!

We have very few negatives from our stay, the only minor thing is perhaps having more wine/ Prosecco glasses to enjoy dinner on one of the terraces.

the owner took two days to come fix a window the home could have been cleaner no shower gel on booking .com said there soap after travelling for a long time it’s nice to have shower on your firs night
