Home 22 Appartamento in centro storico - Catania

The appartment is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are very nice and friendly. They waited for us until very late in the night as our flight was delayed. Their are willing to help and explain everything you may need during your stay. The location of the appartment is perfect- close to the railwaystation, busstation, city center, many shops and restaurants, next to the bua from the airport (Alibus). I felt there as I was at my home.

This apartment was amazing and couldn't speak more highly of the host's. Responded quickly to any questions and helped us when we couldn't find what we were looking for. Couldn't speak more highly of both the hosts and the apartment.

Absolutely no negatives

Spacious, clean, tastefully decorated with pantry and fridge supplies provided. Windows had automatic shutters which totally blackened room out from light. The hosts provided a cake, candle and bottle of Prosecco to mark our birthday celebration. They were also helpful with local knowledge and booking taxis.

Location was on the border of a sketchy neighbourhood.

Excellent apartment. Well maintained and decorated. Well equipped if you do want to cook rather than eat out. A few grocery items were in the apartment on arrival which was really helpful and thoughtful. In a slightly scruffy part of town but that really didn't matter to us. Very close to all the major sights. Excellent bars and restaurants within easy walk. Very close to airport bus stop for easy transfer. 15 minute walk to Central railway station and bus station.

There was nothing we didn't like. We would both happily return to this apartment and recommend it to others. Outside of the block and internal decor of entrance is a bit worn and scruffy but this is nothing out of the ordinary in Italy and once through the apartment door it really is a great apartment.

Super clean and quiet apartment - everything seemed brand new! Host does not speak English but communicates well and instantly with electronic translator. He walked us through the entire apartment and explained everything very clearly. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cookware and utensils, basic spices, pasta, olive oil, biscuits for breakfast, coffee/tea, etc. This apartment is steps away from Via Etnea the pedestrian main boulevard. Easily walkable. Also right around the corner from the Metro, and a small grocery store next door! Close to everything. We would stay there again in an instant!

Nothing it was perfect.

Both my wife and I were delighted with our four-night stay at the apartment "Home 22". First-and-foremost, the apartment is both very comfortable and very attractive. The rooms are large and bright, and they benefit from the tasteful contemporary furnishing and design of the apartment and from the excellent condition of the apartment. The style is discreet but cheerful and welcoming. The equipment is both complete and in excellent condition. That applies to the kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, expresso machine, utensils, cutlery, . . . ), the bathrooms, and the bedroom (very comfortable large double bed, large wardrobe, power outlets, etc.) and includes the WiFi and the lighting. Very important for us in January was that the apartment has a very effective, silent system of central heating, one that could easily be fine-tuned. The management of the apartment was extremely supportive in all respects. Checking-in and checking-out were easy. Information about the apartment and the building was provided. Much information about Catania and eastern Sicily had been prepared; that included suggestions regarding restaurants and cafés. We also very much appreciated that bottles of water, wine, milk and olio awaited us. Although neither the building nor the neighbourhood is beautiful, both have good features. The lift/elevator and the lighting in the building were reliable. The area just to the south of the apartment is full of restaurants, and less than 100 meters to the north are major supermarkets. Two blocks to the west is Via Etnea, the center of contemporary Catania. Most of Catania's major tourist sights can be easily reached on foot from Home 22.

Precisely because the Home 22 apartment is very nicely designed with fine furnishings and attractive-but-delicate artifacts, it might not be the ideal place for small children.

The hosts were very welcoming. Communication before our arrival was great. They met us on arrival and gave us information about places to visit, restaurants, etc. The metro station was very close and offered easy access to the train and bus stations for day trips to Siracusa, Taormina, Caltagirone, etc. The apartment was super clean and well stocked for cooking and other needs there were extra towels, drying rack and ironing board. The hosts left us muffins, bread, crackers, coffee, jam, milk and water. Good restaurants nearby. Great place from which to explore Catania and Sicily.

Very spacious well appointed apartment, exceptionally clean. Lots of extras supplied for cooking. Lovely host. Nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening. Not a great view but we enjoyed watching the carport antics! We had a very enjoyable stay here.
