Fascinante Orbita Apartments

The location is simply exceptional. It's central, close to restaurants, pastry shops (with wonderful bread), gardens, and markets. For those coming by car, it's possible to park on the street (with a parking meter, although it's free on Saturday afternoons and Sundays), and there's a large free car park just a 2-minute walk away. For those travelling by bus from other cities, the main bus station is practically just across the street, which is great. The house is fully equipped with everything needed for two people. The bed is comfortable, and there are enough bed linens and towels for two people to stay comfortably. Overall, everything was very clean, and communication was always quick and easy. As for the kitchen, although there's no dishwasher, it is fully equipped for washing up, with detergent, a sponge, and cloths provided.

The house is great but has a few manageable challenges: it's on the third floor with no elevator, and there are no shutters or blinds, only roller curtains that unfortunately don’t fully block the light in the bedroom (in summer, sunlight comes in early in the morning). The terrace is fantastic, but there are several restaurant chimneys at the back — so you might notice food smells during the day, which can be a bit much at times. However, if you enjoy the smell of traditional Portuguese food, then it won’t be a problem for you 😅. I also recommend going to the supermarket (there are several in the area — some within walking distance, others just 2 minutes away by car, such as Auchan or Continente) to buy shower gel and shampoo, as there is only hand soap in the bathroom. Toilet paper is only provided for the beginning of the stay, which might catch some guests (like me) by surprise — I only found out that it was meant just for the first day when I asked if there was any more. It might be useful to mention this in the welcome message. That said, the hosts were great — they immediately brought more rolls, even though it's not part of the accommodation policy.

Really enjoyed the staying, the location is great, very central. The outside area is great for good weather. The staff were very, very, attentive specially Dona Fátima Pinto, was great always checking If I need something! Thank you.

No heating & it was absolutely freezing as no heating. Had to climb 45 stairs as no lift. View was the backs of house & could see straight into apartment. There were smells from restaurants & a dog that constantly barked. Tv was tiny. The bedroom wasn’t separate from living space. No kettle or toaster. Over priced & wont return

Lack off heating solution.

It is my smart choice in Portugal! 30-40minutes to Porto braga and beach. To geres is about 1:20. People here is very nice!

No elevator

It was cozy, had enough kitchen wear, close to everything we need. Loved that there was a TV in the bedroom and a TV in the lounge.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. No kettle, we boiled water in a pot to make tea and coffee.
