La Luna di Cristina

The view is stunning. The apartment was clean and well organised. The village is very relaxing and quiet which was great after all the caos from the tourist parts of the Amalfi coast.

The access to the property is bad. The only way you have to get there is via the local bus (now we know that), scooter, taxi (40€) or by foot. The person responsible for providing instructions to access the property (Alessia) did not provide clear instructions to find the location and was not responsive, nor respond to our calls when we were trying to get to the house. Due to the lack of Alessia response, we had to reach to the house by foot - the house is on top of the villa, so you can only imagine how it was exhausting to get there with all the luggage climbing more than 100 stairs. If only the host had respond to our calls or provide instructions we would not have gone through this. Additionally, when you get to the number of the house it turns out it is the number of all the houses in that street, so we had to stalk someone for help and had to guess which house it was (??) - just don’t understand how the host thinks is acceptable not to provide clear instructions beforehand. When we got there the host just smiled and said she didn’t know where the phone was and ignored we were not happy. After, when we were finally settling in the house she came with a guy to fix something on the house - twice (this could have been done hours before we got there, specially because it was not urgent). On top of this she didn’t speak any English. On our last night by 9pm Alessia came unannounced to the house to ask for the tourist tax. This could have been avoided if things were clear from the start.

We had a wonderful stay at Christina’s place! The apartment had everything we needed — comfortable, well-equipped, and very clean. Also, the view was beautiful. Christina, as well as the other staff, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always available if we had any questions. It was the perfect base for our trip and we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

This was the best stay during our 18-day trip in Italy. The house is located on a mountain, about a 17-minute drive from Amalfi. It had two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, a beautiful view, an outdoor lounge chair, and a lovely garden. For a budget of just $150 USD, it’s hard to find anything that compares to this place.

Hill was too much for me but has nothing to do with the appartment. Some pple will like it expecially whilst driving its really hard for me

Absolutely lovely place . Great hosts , very friendly and helpful. Breathtaking views. Inside of the apartment you got everything you need , place is very clean and sweet .

The place and the people

We really enjoyed staying at La Luna di Cristina during three nights in mid April. The charming grand mother (Cristina) of the host welcomed us upon arrival to hand over the keys and provided some instructions in Italian. Despite the language barrier we understood all of it. We really appreciated the welcome fruit bowl, with various breakfast things such as jam and Nutella. The heating worked great and despite the rain we loved the place! The father of the host runs a grocery store and could deliver what we needed one evening when the weather was less ideal, fantastic service! We could park our car behind the gates of the facility and instead walk down to Ravello which is a nice 20 minute walk down to Ravello, (and 30 minute more demanding walk to get back.) The view towards Minori and Maiori is spectacular. The host Alessia is very nice, communicative and mindful of providing a good stay.
