"Perfect location in beautiful Varenna!"

Pietro was very friendly and gave us lots of information about the local area. The location of the apartment is perfect. very close to the train station and the ferry. 5 minutes walk from the centre of Varenna. There is a grocery store just around the corner.

Lovely spacious two bedroom apartment with balcony and lake views. Kitchen with all basics you need. Washing machine inuding soap and clothes dryer rack was very handy. Bedding and towels changed once during a weeks stay. Great location between ferry and train station. Only three small basic local stores with lovely local food(there are more gelaterias than grocery stores). Plenty restaurants to choose from. Beautiful, romantic, stunning location. Fantastic owners!

We all felt the mattress where too firm, not making for the best night's sleep. Bath towels a bit rough. Having to empty our bins ourself (they need to be taken to a central deposit down the road)

The apartment was very comfortable, with a large living room/kitchen, balcony, and two large bedrooms. They also had a washing machine. The location was perfect - close to the train and a short walk away from the village. Also, the apartment was kept very clean.

While the location was great, it is indeed on a somewhat busy street, so there was some traffic noise. Also, it didn't have air conditioning. While I understand a lot of places around Lake Como don't have air conditioning, we were there on a hot day in August and could definitely have used it. They did have a couple of standing fans.

Ideally located accommodation: very close to the village, to the ferry landing (5 mn) and to the Varenna-Esino train station (5 mn). We came by train from Milan, 1h journey, very simple. Spacious apartment, very clean, washing machine. The view is not directly on the lake but on a nice landscape. We had the possibility to leave our luggage until 5pm after check-out, which is not frequent in case of apartment rental. Nearby: grocery store which also offers good panini.
