Insufficient communication by host in the most sensitive moment at self check-in, actually without response/clarification by host. Fortunately we found a solution alone...

Very clean and modern, we had everything we needed

Smart, clean, modern and well equipped apartment in a nice neighbourhood up from the city centre.

No breakfast, great location

Access is poor, no lift

The apartment is minimalist and modern located in the heart of the city. There is a very beautiful park nearby and also the area is very nice. We used the apartment primarily for its location since we wanted to visit the city and walk through the streets, but we still spent some time in it besides sleeping. The kitchen is decent and we were able to cook some simple food and we felt cozy in it.

The building seems a little old and also when we stayed they were doing some repairs on the outside so we were not able to get a view from the dorm. It is very very hard to get a parking spot nearby and also the streets are narrow. To be honest, I don’t think you need a car if you only want to visit Santa Cruz since you can get everywhere by foot or using the bus. It is also obvious that the apartment is intended to be used only a few days/a week since there are some simple things lacking like paper towel in the kitchen, salt/pepper and other small stuff. Also the towels I think were of bad quality since after only one usage they ended up smelling pretty bad even after drying them.

The location is excellent, next to a fantastic park, shops, cafes, very responsive guest host. The accommodation has an easy-to-use kitchen. And a nice canteen next door. You can get to any city or place you want to go to quickly and easily by public transport.

The view out the window was somewhat restricted by construction netting, but it probably won't be there all the time.
