The Frog's Hideaway

The location was fabulous - the apartment is on the grounds of a palace with a cute garden in the middle. An easy walk to all the sites. We were fortunate to be staying in Bologna over a public holiday, so the streets were closed to cars. The kitchen was well equipped, and the supermarket was next door, so you can easily purchase coffee pods and laundry detergent. There is a clothes rack of adequate size for a load. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

It is important to note that there are stairs into the property. If you are unable to lift a suitcase up 2 flights of stairs or have mobility difficulties, this is not the place for you.

Very central, fantastic location, clean and equipped well furnished flat in a nice old palace. Responsive owner. Zero problem.

The bed is not a real bed, rather a wooden board with a mattress on top, so not extremely comfortable. No coffee or water on arrival. Some basics made available would be a nice touch. Same with the washing machine: no washing tablets. Finally, be aware that payment is not via Booking but in person or through bank, a bit clumsy.

The location is perfect and near many beautiful sites and restaurants. It’s ideal. The host is charming and welcoming and provides lots of great information. The building is very interesting.

Spacious, clean, well equipped, and perfectly located in beautiful Bologna! We were very comfortable in the apartment during our 8 day stay.

Very comfortable, clean and convenient flat. We stayed for 7 nights and really enjoyed it. I worked remotely from the flat during the weekdays. Pam local (super market) and lots of cafes are at the door step. We walked every where and found it very easy to do so. The kitchen is very well equipped. The host is fantastic and has thought about everything people need to be comfortable in their stay.

The aircon is old and doesn’t fully cool the flat especially in hot summer days of July. The host provided a fan which really helped.
