Ciandolada Wellness

The apartment is a masterclass in Tetris. It had so many positives, Tub /hot tub and sauna were great and the bed was quite comfortable. However be prepared to pack light. The apartment is small and has a small closet but if you have equipment or are traveling with multiple bags you should be prepared to store items in your vehicle.

Unfortunately the cleanliness of the apartment was not hygienic. The living space was mostly clean but there was a significant and obvious black mold problem. This went beyond a few hard to notice spots. The entire shower was covered with black mold and even after asking the manager to have it cleaned there remained a significant amount especially in the grout, which was cream colored, was completely black 3/4 of the shower.

Everything was great.

We spent a few days here in the middle of January while our child was playing in a Winter Classics hockey tournament in Val di Zoldo. Being a married couple, we've preferred this accommodation option despite the high price (200+€ per night) and consodarable distance from the competition venue (25 km of narrow & winding mountain road) because of jacuzzi & sauna availability and were hoping to spent nice & calm romantic evenings taking advantage of these amenities even though we were staying in the almost empty village in the middle of nowhere. In fact the apartments turned out to be plenty worn-out & ramshackle, with a lack of basic appliances in the kitchen (no kettle & microwave oven) and inaccessible WC on the first floor (the door was closed and the host chose not to answer the question about where to get the key). Coveted wellness treatments didn't met the expectations as well – jacuzzi tub has broken drain plug and leaking side shower (so we didn't take risks of filling it full of water and searching for the rest malfunctions) and the sauna was operating (luckily), but made a depressing impression due to swollen floor boards and separated boards on the ceiling...
