Loft Piazza Universita is incredible. Well decorated and furnished with everything needed. Two bathrooms. Lovely couple owns and operates this. Fantastic location in the middle of the old central part of town. Breakfast items left in refrigerator and on counter provided for very satisfying breakfast, with Nespresso, coffee machine, and capsules included. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

Fans of architecture will admire the domed vaulted walls and ceilings (originally a monastery) and clever use of up lighting that beautifully washes these continuous sculptural surfaces. The decor’s nod to 1930’s US art and style also provide an interesting counterpoint. This is a large and generous space, including a functional kitchen. Perfect for anyone that only needs one bedroom.

It is in a perfect place, right in the center, near via Etna and other interesting places. The accommodation has everything you need, airconditioning, great food for breakfast and it is also pretty large. All in all, it is a really comfortable place with a great location. And of course, I have to mention that Gaspare and Ida are one of the nicest people I ever met. They provided us with useful information, and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. If you wish to stay at the city center for a great price, this is the perfect place.

Plenty to choose from for breakfast: eggs, breakfast meat, pastry, etc. The coffee was great too. The location was central and within walking distance to several sites. Our hosts were helpful and super friendly. A great experience overall.

Parking nearby was a bit of a challenge.

The apartment is very large and comfortable. The location is excellent. Ida and Gaspare are the best hosts. They are very polite, kind, and attentive, and they share many great ideas/suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Catania.
