Loft Piazza Università

Large, very nicely renovated and decorated, comfortable, and quiet apartment centrally located to all of the things you want to see and do in Catania. The hosts are extremely welcoming and provided excellent recommendations. (It may be a good idea to message them before you arrive so you can plan early.) We stay at a lot of places (20+ the last 12 months) and this is by far the best we've stayed (considering the hosts, the location, and the property).

Finding nearby parking could be inconvenient, but not so much to be a problem.

Our stay in Catania was Wonderful. The apt was in a perfect location right next to Piazza Duomo. During our three month stay throughout Italy and Sicily and staying in 16 different apartments, this was the nicest. It was large, Clean and had everything we needed for the week. Our hosts Ida and Gaspare provided us not only with breakfast items, but with lunch items as well and were very helpful with recommendations of where to go and what to see. I cannot stress enough that if you are visiting Catania, this is the place to stay. Overall we give our stay here a 10++

Fabulous apartment in a great location. Breakfast things were provided by wonderful hosts. We had a very enjoyable time here. Host were very responsive and provided us with lots of recommendations and assistance. Highly recommend!

My stay with my family was perfect, thank you very much to the owners, they were amazing and always helpful and gave advice. I can only recommend. The apartment is in an ideal location for visiting Catania.

The hosts (Ida) was kind enough to make contact with us before our arrival and met us on arrival. They helped us with our bags and showed us around the large apartment and also a lot of helpful tips and documentation on where to go, what to see, where to eat and pretty much everything that we wanted to know. There was plenty of food and drinks in the house for Breakfast, even though we mostly used only the tea and coffee. The apartment was very tastefully decorated. It was very conveniently located close to lots of restaurants and attractions. The hosts are the best.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse in Catania! The apartment was spacious, clean, and located right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the main attractions on foot. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay — they went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania and would definitely stay here again!

Excellent apartment right in the centre of Catania. Four big separate rooms, kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Ida and Gaspare are wonderful hosts who provided good local information. Lots of provisions supplied including breakfast items like cereal, yoghurt and juice. Well appointed with all necessary amenities.

The hosts, Ida and Gaspare, are lovely and kind people who gave us a lot of useful tips and information which helped us tremendously with exploring nearly all of wonderful Catania and the nearby places. The room is tastefully decorated and is situated in a tranquil building. We sincerely appreciated the thick window glass which cancelled out the noise from the busy street below and allowed us to have a good night's sleep every night. The central location is perfect for exploring the city.

I didn't really like the shower as it is a bit outdated and located inside a bathtub/jacuzzi which doesn't really drain properly. So taking showers was not a very fun experience. Other than that, no complaints.

Only suggestion would be some better curtains in the bedroom as it’s quite bright outside at night but this is literally the only thing. Eye mask and you’re fine!

The apartment was exceptional, spacious, well equipped with many period features and was very stylish as well. The location, around the corner from the cathedral was ideal with good restaurants nearby. Our hosts could not have been more helpful with detailed advice on planning our time. The breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended, brilliant.
