Elegante appartamento centro storico

The location of the property was very central and all the sights and landmarks of Catania were within easy walking distance (10-15mins). It was also very easy to access the property from the Airport Bus (ALIBUS €4) and local buses. We were greeted by Valeria who facilitated our late arrival and told us all we needed to know for a heads-up on our visit. The apartment forms part of a courtyard building on a small street with restaurants, bars and small grocery stores. There is a lift which goes up from courtyard level to the 2nd Floor but there are steps up to it from street level. The living room and bedroom are large, light and well proportioned with comformatble furniture, both are air conditioned and have small balconies overlooking the street. The kitchen is small but more than adequate for a city trip. It is not quiet, but I don't think anywhere in Catania is quiet - it is busy city full of expressive Sicilians.

Old and cute flat

Unfortunately, my stay at this flat in Catania was a very bad experience. While the apartment itself wasn’t terrible in terms of size or layout, the cleaning was extremely poor — definitely not up to standard. However, the worst part by far was the air conditioning. The A.C. only worked with a card, and we were only given one. That meant every time we left the flat, the A.C. turned off. Coming back to the apartment — especially during a heatwave with temperatures around 50°C — was unbearable. The flat was incredibly hot, and the A.C. was far too weak to cool down such a large space quickly. It never felt truly comfortable, even when we were inside for hours. I raised my concerns with Grazia and Valeria, but they didn’t provide a second card or any real help. They insisted the A.C. was cooling the flat quickly, but that simply wasn’t true. I felt completely dismissed. In short, I did not deserve this kind of treatment or discomfort, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially during the summer months. A very disappointing and frustrating experience overall.

Everything was perfect! The location is amazing – just a few metres from the main Via Etnea street, and close to both the metro and bus stations. The owner was very kind as well. We were satisfied with every detail. The apartment itself has a magical atmosphere, situated in a classic old Catanian house. The price is more than reasonable. Main room with kitchen corner is spacious, bedroom as well.

A beautiful apartment located in the heart of Catania. Valeria and Grazia, were both extremely friendly and helpful and did everything to ensure we had an enjoyable stay in Catania

The apartment is excellent positioned, in the historical area, but also near the bus station for the airport. It is decorated very elegant, comfortable and has all the facilities. It accommodates 4 people without problems. The owner promptly provided us with all the necessary information and made us feel great. Perfect accommodation in Catania.
