Marinautica Sea Cottage

It had a very good location. The host was very kind and willing to help. Very well equipped apartment. It had two toilets which was useful since we were 4 adults. There were a lot of towels of different sizes.

The main issue was with humidity. It was very humid and had only one window. We used the washing machine and as there was no drier machine and a lot of humidity, the clothes didn’t dry enough although we left them for more than two days. The apartment had a damp smell, which made us feel like it was not clean enough. This is not something that is fixed with an AC.

Location was nice (Marina Grande - a little beach full of fishing boats and restaurants) but it is only good for people who are fit enough to walk 5-10 minutes uphill. The beds were nice. The property is on two foors (beds for 4 people on the 1st floor and a bed for 2 people on the ground floor). Which means that not everyone had to go to bed at the same time. The shower was good enough. There was enough light above the mirror in the bathroom. There were 2 small food shops in 50 m distance. Also a local bus (minivan) to the center of the town every hour (but you need to buy tickets in advance, for those who don't want the walk uphill). There was a toilet also on the first floor.

We were there in mid April. The property was quite humid, we used the airco most of the time to get rid of excessive humidity. On the first day we tried to use the wasing machine but it turned out that the water pipe was leaking (a lot, at least a liter in total, I think). We informed the owner about this but no real reacton followed which we felt was strange because the problem was easy to fix with a new water pipe and she had like 2 full days to do this..

Our host was lovely. The accommodation is situated in the most beautiful area, right next to the beach, restaurants and bars. The weather wasn't great while we were there but it didn't matter, we did a lot of sightseeing and it was dry - no time for lazing on the beach. The next time I go back I plan to be lazy & spend a lot me time enjoying the immediate area hopefully in the sunshine & heat. This is not a complaint - just for your information - we had our 75 year old mother with us and she found the hills difficult, having said that there is a taxi rank almost right outside the door and when you call a cab they get there is 5 mins. Again for your information, it is situated away from the centre which I thought was a bonus, because the centre was very busy, but only a short walk away. Oh and Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Loved the feel of being at home and being by the sea. Also the host was friendly and wonderful about telling us all about the rental and the town. She went above duty when we left one of our cell phones in the rental. She quickly met my husband back at the property. Which we really appreciated.

Location was amazing! Apartment was very clean, beds and pillows were great. Very well equipped if you wanted to stay in and cook. Fatima was excellent and very helpful.
