"Il Pollaio" guests house

Lekker ruim appartement op slechts één minuut lopen van het gezellige en mooie centrale plein van Panicale. Afgesloten ruime tuin is een groot pluspunt. Meestentijds konden wij recht voor het appartement parkeren. Elisa is een fijne en hartelijke host. Bij aankomst stond er een fles wijn en versnaperingen voor ons klaar!

Il Pollaio was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. Elisa was very accommodating.

La casa è molto spaziosa ha una camera matrimoniale ben grande con bagno e una cameretta, un amplissimo salone con un magnifico parquet e un bel divano, una graziosa cucina attrezzata e un bel tavolo per mangiare in più persone. Abbiamo viaggiato in giorni freddissimi di neve ma l’appartamento era bello riscaldato!

The place is simply magical, set on the ground floor of the old palazzo, with big garden and facing south, it was perfect for our 3 nights stay in this charming, medieval town. The apartment is spacious but very cosy, with modern comforts and lots of charachter and historical features. Charming host and gorgeous autumnal weather was just a cherry on the top.

Elisa was brilliant throughout. My father's plane was delayed by four hours but Elisa remained patiently waiting for him and his accompanying grandchildren into the small hours of the morning, leaving the keys where they could easily find them - and didn't charge any sort of late arrival fee. She had also incredibly kindly agreed to have a wheelchair I had hired for my 87 year old father delivered to her address (and then brought it to Il Pollaio) and then picked up from her address after my father had left. Such kindness and helpfulness was overwhelming. I am truly grateful.

Nothing. The flat was beautifully furnished and laid out, a complete pleasure to stay in. My father and mother had previously stayed there and it was fantastic that, coming back to Panicale to visit with his garndchildren, my father could stay there again.

Our stay at Il Pollaio was wonderful. Eliza was the perfect host answering all our questions. The location is just around the corner from the Piazza where there are several small but great restaurants/bars. We were there during their fun Wine/Grape Festival and Lace Festival. It was great to be away from all the crowds and noise in the more touristy places in Italy. There is a wonderful little grocery store just up from the piazza. Re Il Pollaio, it was spacious, clean and modern. The bathrooms and kitchen were well equipped and clean. A special area is the garden where we ate many of our meals. Panicale itself dates before Etruscan times and it is so old and filled with history which is why it is so amazing. We absolutely loved our stay there.
