Georgio was a wonderful host, kind and genuinely helpful. He picked us up from the railway station even though it was at 6pm and drove us to the apartment. He provided us with lots of useful information including where to eat and what to order. The apartment is well equipped and large with the bedroom on a mezzanine floor (someone with reduced mobility may have problems getting up and down the spiral staircase). Georgio provided a free bottle of wine and lemoncello made by his wife. There was also a map for us to use. The apartment is within a short walking distance of the market and the temple to Apollo.

Giorgio is the best host ever!! He collected us from the bus station, brought us the scenic route to the apartment, gave us loads of great tips, and invited us to homemade limoncello and a courtesy bottle of Sicilian wine! He is very kind and was extremely responsive to any queries we had during our five day stay. I would 100% recommend this apartment. Our daughter felt very at home there too! The apartment leads out to the eastern side of Ortigia which gets the morning sun and the full moon was reflected on the sea at night! f you walk up to the Cala Russa (city beach) and then cut across the island you get the most beautiful sunsets! Ortigia is gobsmackingly beautiful. You could happily ramble around the backstreets for days and still encounter something breathtaking around every corner. The local cafe does great coffees and they are excellent value. We loved the Al Mazari restaurant near the Duomo. Cala Piada cafe was lovely too.

Fantastic location, has everything you need, terrific value and great host. Would especially be good for a family with the loft bedroom, separate living and dining areas. Old reviews indicated lift might be hit but a second air conditioner added plus there’s a portable fan. Small balcony has drying lines for laundry. Giorgio met our car on street after guiding us to free parking spot in front of walkway to apartment and gave us a bottle of local wine, bonuses!

Not a big fan of spiral staircases but the one to lift was sturdy and I knew about when I reserved.

the stylish compact spiral staircase from the mezzanine bedroom was a challenge at 3am if you needed the bathroom!

In the heart of Ortigia. Local Market, inCoop, delicious food everywhere, beach on walk and Gorgio is very kind person with willingness to help. Apartment is big enough, kitchen well equiped, materase is very soft for me but someone like it. Thank you Gorgio for everything and definitely recommended from us.
