Location was ideal Great local atmosphere

The location was steps to the sea, restaurants and small shops

The apartment had mold and a strong mildew smell. Outside the balcony was dirty with trash from other flats. The kitchen was convenient and the beds were clean

Fantastic location. Open the door and onto the beach. Lovely seafood restaurants. Quiet location

Plumbing not great

Location and spaciousness - it was out of the main part of Sorrento at marina grande so was an uphill walk to city ( which we didn’t mind….or local bus €1.30 each way and very regular)

Needed a few much conveniences because we were there 6 nights and had wet weather so stayed in a bit. Needed more wine glasses and new batteries for tv remote. Needed a kettle for making tea. Basic towels

Allegra is on the beach at Marina Grande, a fantastic spot, with great restaurants (check out Azzurra Taverna if you're there), and a small market so you can look after your own food if you want to. The apartment is well appointed and very comfortable (it does need a kettle though) and our view from our balcony looked out over the beach and across the Bay of Naples directly at Mt Vesuvius in all its grandeur. Raffaele greeted us at the door and was a really great host, giving us all the local info we needed to enjoy our stay. You can walk into the city, about 15-20 minutes, but it is uphill, so be prepared, or catch the bus for 1 euro, and back again if you don't want to walk at all.

A tip for new arrivals, if you come into (or are leaving via) the Port, don't go by taxi. Get the bus. Make sure you get the one that goes to Marina Grande, it is way cheaper than the taxi and has a section at the back for your luggage too. The same bus will get you there from (and to) the train station as well.
